Gateway Varkala

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. The people were warm and welcoming, the environment was lovely, the weather was perfect, the food was great, and the service was generally very good. We truly have no major complaints. That said, a few areas could be improved to enhance the guest experience even further: Fitness Facility – It would be great to have access to a basic fitness center or gym on the premises. Customer-Centric Mindset – While the staff were courteous, there’s room to empower them more. For instance, small gestures like serving a cup of tea just a few minutes outside the scheduled high-tea window can go a long way in delighting guests. Room Allocation Accuracy – I had booked a "Deluxe Twin Bed Room With Balcony" for my kids, but was assigned a room with a Queen bed instead. It’s a minor issue, but attention to such details would improve satisfaction. Check-in Process – During check-in, we were initially assigned rooms and then asked to move to different ones shortly after. It felt a bit disorganized and could be streamlined for a smoother arrival experience. Bathroom Privacy – The room had a glass panel separating the bedroom and bathroom, with only a curtain on the bedroom side for privacy. While this setup may suit couples, it could be uncomfortable in other scenarios. A more privacy-conscious design would be appreciated. Breakfast Variety – The breakfast spread felt limited in terms of variety. Offering a wider selection would better cater to different preferences and enhance the overall dining experience. Apart from these, everything else was truly enjoyable.

My stay at Gateway Varkala was a great experience. The hospitality was one of the best I have experienced. The location is adequately positioned in a quiet and serene spot yet just walking distance away from the beach and 5 mins drive away from other getaway spots. The breafast buffet had limited items but the taste and quality was good. Rooms were very spacious. Overall an awesome experience. Worth visiting again!

Beautiful property, pretty clean and peaceful stay.The staff is incredibly polite and efficient.At walking distance to both south and north cliff beaches.They also got us a photo framed which was pretty sweet.Got us checked-in early too.Breakfast spread was slightly limited but it tasted well. PS : We got surprised by an in-house peacock greeting in our balcony which was a sight to see.

Very good property, specially for family has badminton court, tennis court and lawn for children's. Manager of the property was really nice he was very kind to offer us a delayed checkout and early check-in. Pool was very clean with life guard. Specially liked the lawns attached with the rooms. Varkala beach is a ten minutes walk from the Gateway Varkala.

It was a good stay with a scenic view.very close to the beach and we can reach by a small walk.The night view of the swimming pool was awesome since it had lights surrounded by them.They got to know our Wedding anniversary and surprised us with a cake showing their best wishes to us. Overall it was a wonderful stay.....

Room are neat. Food is tasty and in good quality. Swimming pool is toooo good. Staff is very friendly.

Service was good but the bathroom smell was bad!! Location and hospitality was great! May be renovation is causing it but the night we checked in things were not smooth!

Awesome Stay. Beach at walking distance. The rooms are good and spacious. Food is good however must have more vegetarian options.

Nice pool and spa. Deck is good for photographs and panoramic view. Rooms are spacious and clean. Food can be better.
