Property is good. Rooms, restaurant and pool is nice. Spa and activities room need renovation.

We went as a family of 4 with parents and kids. The place does not deserve the quality of Taj for sure! Some of my observations were: 1. Terrible front office staff (rude and half of the time unavailable to attend calls) 2. ⁠Exceptionally long preparation time at the restaurant 3. ⁠Long wait time to deliver baggage to room. Worth it prize and hotel service are very good. Staffs are really good. Really enjoyed it. It’s good for a family.

our rooms and the resort was very good, the food is mixed, some items were good, overall food was poor. i didn’t like the egg curry the malabar parota was bad, the oota meal was decent. The place is also very close to the city, though isolated you are not really amidst mountains or forest. The resort and people are friendly and good place for family with kids.

My experience in Gateway Chikmagalur started with confusion over booking name and somehow my name was changed, it took a while to clarify it. The overall stay was just ok as some of the activities like kite flying, animal feeding etc was not available at the property which was disappointing.

The property was clean, nice and elegant.all facilities were there but the location was not that good...No views just plain roads but property itself gave a jungle vibe. We had a pleasant stay. Service was quick,food was good.

Amazing stay. Best hospitality. Nice place for relaxing and spending time with your loved ones. A must visit in Chikmagalur.

The location was delightful, offering a vibrant atmosphere and stunning surroundings. However, the dining service left much to be desired and could benefit from significant improvements to enhance the overall experience.

Beautiful property, amazing service, great for vegetarians! staff is excellent and super helpful! It is in a centre location with a little bit off trail in between forest!

They need to work improving the food taste and quality. As well suggest to change the menu . Otherwise everything else is good

Gateway Chikmagalur location and property is great get away if you are looking for a resort in Chikmagaluru. We went on weekday, hence the rate was very reasonable thru MMT. Breakfast spread was decent and taste was good. We did not try lunch or dinner from hotel as we felt it was too costly and there were lot of options in Chikmagalur where you can try authentic malnad cuisines. There will be lot of monkeys roaming around the property but again that’s part of being around the nature.

We stayed for one day at Gateway Chikmagalur and were wowed by the outstanding service and beautiful surroundings. Very pleasant experience with beautiful interiors full of plants, regional wooden carvings and artwork. The resort is on a forested hill so you can hear the birds as you wake up. We opted for the breakfast and dinner buffets. While the food was decent, the spread could benefit from additional variety including local items (particularly desserts) as well as vegetarian options. Very memorable stay, and will be coming back for more if and when we visit this part of the country.

Food quality and services were bad. We ordered Pasta while we got something else. After some time, they realised their mistake and served the ordered item. At restaurant, we ordered Thai Curry. We waited for 45 minutes and when we ask for the same, they informed, it’s not available.

Best stay in Chikkamagalur. The staff is super friendly and prompt in servicing customers. Food is really good.
