Hotel The Royal Shalimar

Hotel is located in outskirts of Chikmagalur. Property is very good, service also very fast. Breakfast is quite elaborate. But the best part is the staff. They are very helpful with support and guidance for the sightseeing and being locals are extensively khowledgeable. It will be good to stay there for a two to three nights duration provided there is car or personal transport arrangement. Area has limited food and drink options being outskirts. World coffee works is adjacent to the hotel.

Property food is a little above average, though the property is located around 20 km on the outskirts of Chikmagalur, but nevertheless the stay was fine. Though the hotel doesn't have a sports room or any other means of cutting out the boredom .

Firstly it was away from Chikmagalur by atleast 30 mins drive. Hotel is in mainroad and new one. plenty of parking space available and staffs are polite. Definitely restaurant to be opened. Currently food is served in a hall after we place an order upfront. We need to order min an hour back as it is their standard preparation time. We felt room cost is very high. Rooms are very clean and staffs are friendly.

The place was far from the listed attractions and amenities missing that were posted on mmt. Like the gym and Inhouse restaurant. Overall the staff was very cooperative and helpful. The room was neat and managers took utmost care of us on whatever we needed. Would suggest MMT to update the amenities after checking with the hotel.

Didn’t like it, yesterday breakfast was insufficient and camp firing was not given due to some event nit at al organised and very poor internet condition very expensive for the rate n stay not worth, location was toooooooooo far from every place wasted alot on petroleum

Great hospitality and the room and the ambience was good. the room was near and clean . balcony view was perfect , especially the balcony compliments the view.

Well behaved staff, the rooms were in excellent condition. Its 20km away from the city and its location is ideal because u can travel to charm-ado ghat and devramane from the hotel the food needs a little improvement all in all a great experience

It’s been a pleasure to have the stay at this property with my family. Room was neat and clean and very spacious Bedroom and wash room. Ambiance quiet good and have ample space for parking. dining and banquet hall is good and breakfast and food they services it’s healthy and tasty only concern is Time factor for availability of food.

It wasn’t as expected or not even as portrayed on this app or any other app. The staff enter the rooms as and when they see fit, the power went off in the middle of the night and it needed multiple follow ups to make them check or repair it. The tv took good whole day to get up and running, if you don’t ask then they don’t even care to check whether the room is prepared well. The food on the other hand was worst of it. If you need food please venture out to nearby chikmagalur, a good 30 min drive and you have fantastic options. The lunch on the day of arrival was pathetically prepared, no taste and oil was pouring all over with which you can prepare poori for the whole lodge customers.

It was well located for anyone planning to cover both chikmagalur and sringeri / dharmasthala. The stay was comfortable, rooms were well maintained and the staff were helpful. Checks all the boxes for a short duration stay.

The rooms were unclean. Requested to change sheets multiple times, was still unsatisfied with the cleanliness. Plumbing was broken. Unsanitized room and bathroom. Overall a very unpleasant stay.

Hygiene issues on room no proper service no accountability

Food is terrible and their services are worst. Also hotel is far away from city. No basic annuities are provided. Better not to prefer
