We had a great experience at divekar aamrai with prakash & sushma divekar. Mr. Divekar called us in the morning to give us precise instructions on reaching the aamrai. Was also particular in understanding our dietary requirements. We were welcomed with smiling faces by the divekars and hot cups of tea. The house is nestled in the aamrai on the slopes of a small mountain and there is no habitation as fas as the eye can see. They have 2 air-conditioned bedrooms and 1 non ac one with attached washrooms with hot and cold running water. The living room is very cosy and the outside porch has 2 cane swings and some sitting. One can sit outside and watch the sun set enjoying the evening breeze. The aamrai is the dream and passion of mr. Prakash divekar and in spite of being highly educated and an retired ex-banker, both the divekars were very humble and tried to accommodate all our requests. The aamrai is being developed on a large tract of hilly land and over the years, mr. Divekar has transformed it into a little heaven. The aamrai has over 20 varieties of mangoes and various other fruits and vegetables. Mr. Divekar is also developing an area for 4 tents to give an opportunity to anyone who wants to enjoy and experience the outdoor life. We had superb home cooked food for dinner amid the night stars and the divekars were always around to ensure that everything was in order. All in all, a wonderful stay. Would definitely visit again in the near future and strongly recommend divekar aamrai ro anyone who would like to be one with nature and wilderness. The sunrise and sunset are a sight to watch. One needs to experience this with their own eyes.
