Review Of Casillda Munnar | Rooms & Caretaker

We booked room in casilda..in ground floor they given room in Ground floor,we stayed with baby there was cockroach 🪳 present with no heat water supply and TV also not working..next time I will not choose casilda and I will not recommend anyone

I stayed at a Casilda in Munnar recently and had a pleasant experience. The hosts were friendly and helpful, making me feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable, with basic amenities. It's just a room service (kind of ladge) and not a hotel with amenities. Maybe most of us falls seeing the balcony view, bonfire, other facilities listed in the images. Nothing is available now, nor provided. It's 14km away from the Munnar centre too. However rooms were clean and good for a night sleep.

Called early to confirm i will arrive late the day before and then the employee called back from different number called spice valley. The employee assured me they will keep my room ready for me. I didn’t think anything of it and went along my way. When i arrived the employees said that they mixed up my reservation for another persons name. I’m not sure how this is possible when they took my id to check in. This is where i started to get a feeling that something was fishy. They offered us another room in a home stay. Down a beaten path my car had trouble getting to. To my surprise the homestay was called spice valley. Alarm bells started to ring once i seen the sign. The room was very questionable in the hygiene side. Different colored smears of unknown substances by the bed, washroom, sink and assorted walls. My partner was scared to stay there. Since we arrived around 9pm there was not much else to chose from so we had to suck it up for the night. We did not feel safe having so less phone service and so off the beaten path. We booked on the main street for a reason to ensure that we were close to everything. When i checked the reviews of this place i found out this is not the first time the owner has tried this. This is false advertising. The homestay is on top of someone’s house. We even tried to eat dinner on the only table available on the balcony and a guy from the neighbour home kept walking by and staring up at the balcony. My wife felt very uncomfortable about that.

Stay is just ok. But the view from the balcony is not much as i expected. The view coming from the front side of stay.

The hotel was good but the hotel staff took extra money for balcony rooms. And the view was not much good as expected, we have another good stays at the same place.

Property is located in main road of the anichal area. Easily can get cab/ Jeep or bus facility. Near by all shops available including restaurants. Staff and maintenance was really good. Only there is no big view point from this hotel. Apart from thag everything was good 😊

The property owner was very good and even the guy at the reception was very friendly, we got an upgrade for the room, as a bonus and the view from the balcony is very awesome. Great choice to go ahead and have a stay here, a lot of restaurants are available nearby with a market area as well.

Rooms were clean and good. Staff were helpful. Overall a good experience. Food options not available at the hotel but in 100 meters there are many good places to eat

Though the stay was pleasant, lack of a restaurant is a major shortcoming. The staff are cooperative & the place is well connected.
