Review Of Backwoods B&B Mall Road Shimla

We really enjoyed our time here. The owner is extremely kind and helpful. He gave personal attention to make sure we were comfortable and even upgraded our room since it was available. The rooms are wooden with clean linen and washrooms, and the balcony view is lovely. The food here is absolutely amazing – everything is freshly prepared. The masala omelette is a must-try! We also loved the peri peri fries, aloo parantha, Maggi, toast, coffee, and tea. The location is very quiet and peaceful, yet close to Mall Road. Unfortunately, during our visit the connecting road to Mall Road was sealed due to construction, so we had to take a longer route (around 20 minutes). Overall, we had a wonderful stay and felt truly cared for. We would definitely recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Shimla and would love to book again on our next trip.

location of hotel is good, interior of rooms is good, cleanliness of room is ohk but bedsheet and blanket was not so clean and smelling very bad.

The food is exceptionally delicious, as it is prepared on order by the staff. The food tasted home- like. The price is reasonable too. The rooms are spacious as well. Cleanliness of the room was not up to the mark, perhaps due to lack of staff. Hopefully, they soon will be able to manage that as well. Mall Road is at walking distance. There must be some walking, when in the mountains. All in all, a recommended property for stays. Happy stays to you all.

Backwook b&b staf is very helpful

It was a pleasant stay. Food was delicious as prepared in our home. Staff was co-operative.

Location is in very convenient place not too far from Mall Road and not overcrowded. Very safe for solo travelers.

The manager was very friendly in nature, facilities were good, soap shampoo towel, properly working and clean washrooms and clean bedrooms.

Very comfortable stay in a VIP area. Rate is affordable also. Food is very good. The treatment of the staff is also very good.

Location is incorrect, kindly double check. Property is calm & cozy, very worth it however, receptionist is unknowingly rude, he kept forcing us to checkout early even though our checkout as per booking was 12 pm.

facing electricity problem environment is good

The rooms were clean which we expected basis other reviews. But there were bo other facilities like toiletries , kettle etc were not provided and everything else is chargeble. The location was peaceful near CM house but was away from mall road so you have to go there all time. Staff came for luggage on checkin but on check out they did not help for suitcase to go upstairs. Reception and rooms were adjacent and lot of noise from reception came. Only plus point is room and bathroom were clean rest were just ok.

Overall experience was very good. Rooms were clean and very well furnished. Bedsheets and pillow covers were not that clean, that was a bit negative point rest all was good.
