The food served was good. Location of the hotel was excellent. Service was good and the staff were courteous and very cooperative.

The location is in the prime area for which I booked this hotel. Hotel is opposite Basanti Devi college, 150 mtr barely walking. Nearby hotels, there are many good coffee shops and bengali restaurants like Kasturi,etc all are barely a few minutes walk away. Cleanliness was also very good as i always prefer clean washroom. one who wants to stay in prime market location and visit kolkata, then can opt this

My 2nd stay at this guest house. Extremely comfortable,. Decent sized rooms. I was travel-ling alone. Safe and lively neighbourhood. The staff of the guesthouse needs special mention. Home-cooked, tasty food served with a lot of warmth. Sorry i do not have any images to share

The manger is ill behaved person always asking for money the food was badly charged even the parking they have charged every day it was not a comfortable stay sorry to say?

Clean room clean sheets. Towels run down. Aircon not amenable to regulation. Bf options very basic. Great location. Wide choice of restts. In the vicinity. Considering overall advantages of location and connectivity, some of these faults can be overlooked. Will come again.

This place is a gem. Clean rooms, attentive service and a great location makes it a hidden gem. Do not miss the tasty food thats served here

The hotel manager not gave us exact room what we booked. They gave us a small size room. Not got exact room what showinh booking time but they have exactly same room but not gave. The hotel manager behaviour is so rude. He asked repeatedly money for us. As i am a regular customer of you but no where i got this type of rude behaviour from your hotels. This time we experienced first time from your hotel. Thank you

This is the second time we had stayed here and the location is one of the reasons for choosing. The rooms are cosy and the breakfast is good.

Location is very good. Special attention given to cleanliness. Employees are very helpful and polite.

The location is just awesome withcafes all around, clear streets and it is close to everywhere. You can just wander the streets in the evening to find a suitable place fir snacks & dinner. The standard room is compact, but the location makes up for everything. Awesome stay.

55b, provides you well maintained rooms, great bengali breakfast, courteous staffs and all this in the heart of kolkatta. Even my request of early check-in was entertained. I strongly recommend to stay in 55b if you are visiting south kolkata.

Stayed with my 8 yr old daughter. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Spacious and clean shared sitting area. Nice view out of the 4th floor room that we got. Down sides: door latch never worked from the outside. When we went out for a walk or to get lunch, we had to leave the door open. Yes, you read that right! nothing was misplaced, but to be forced to leave the door open was a serious downside. The staff said they'd call the carpenter later. 2nd, ac was either super chilling or not working. Remote wasn't working and temperature could be controlled only by the main switch, which was outside the room. These two two main problem areas for me.

The washroom wasn’t clean, had gutka stains. No power outlets near the bed. No covers given ie a blanket. The location is a good bonus. But thats about it. The staff is helpful yes. Room 102 was a complete disaster. The internet is fast though. A lot of work needed to position itself as a comfort trasit stay for people.

Excellent location, very clean premises. Standard room is a little small. Some minor positive changes could be made. Food is excellent. We had the breakfast which was very limited in range but decently made. Five stars to the smiling, extremely well mannered and heartwarming staff who were the best part of the stay.

The bed sheets pillow cover blanket and curtains very old dirty and bad quality.
