Review Of Zostel Pondicherry (Auroville Road)

It is quite conveniently located, approx 2.5 kms from Matrimandir, near cute cafes. Stay was smooth. Overall a nice experience.

The receptionist was very very rude. Worst experience ever. Never going to zostel again.

The stay was awesome, friendly staffs, fun people. The place was neat and clean and was very comfy. However, the food at the cafeteria was awful. We had ordered 3 fried rice, 2 chicken 65s, one veg noodles and a chicken gravy. We received the fried rice after 45 minutes of wait, after the first set of food, we got the chicken 65 after another 10 mins, after another 10 mins we got the noodles... and after all the food was done, we got the chicken gravy. Lol what to eat the gravy with? Food was disappointing. And the cooking staffs coughed in the direction of the food, while preparing it. Stay was great. Food wasn’t good at all.

Had amazing experience staying at Zostel. Nice location, comfortable stay. Waiting room was such a good add on. Tried Maggie, Pasta in the cafe. Taste was good but was a bit pricey. Definitely recommended!

The place had a soul of its own, and the people I met added to the magic. Perfect spot to relax, connect, and just vibe. Definitely coming back for more good times!

Staying in zostel pondicherry was the best decision I took. The location, architecture and common areas made it even more attractive. It was really good with a cozy bed.

Overall the stay was lovely very neat and clean rooms. The rooms are brightly coloured. I stayed at the female dorm and felt very safe as well. The 3rd floor has the cafe and the common game room where one can enjoy with friends. However one feedback is wrt one of the volunteers at the zostel, the volunteer was very authoritative and was making our group a bit comfortable. A few of the friends whom I met there at zostel collectively felt that the volunteer was rude and did not make us feel welcomed.

The property is good and has good parking available outside for two-wheeler. The issue I faced was that in the room allotted to me and my friend, there was a person who was snoring very loudly. We complained multiple times to the Zostel staff but no action was taken to move us to another room(We could see that the beds were empty in other rooms). Instead they asked us to pay extra to shift to another bed for the a night. I hope such cases can be handled properly in future and the experience for the guests are not ruined. Food was average in taste but quantity is good as per the price.

A perfect stay, felt like home! from the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. Their hospitality made all the difference! beyond that, we had the pleasure of meeting some amazing people during our stay, which made the experience even more special. Everything about this place, from the service to the ambiance, was just perfect. Can’t wait to visit again! highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming stay.
