Ostel isn’t just a stay — it’s a vibe you feel in every corner. With its aesthetic charm (props to the thoughtful architecture), cozy rooms, and peaceful ambience, it instantly felt like home. Big thanks to the kind staff for making everything so smooth. The common space was where the magic unfolded — music, stories, laughter, and late-night jam sessions. The rooftop view of the sea? Absolutely breathtaking — a perfect spot for quiet sunsets and deep chats. would like to thanks Ruta, the amazing volunteer who truly brought the place to life with her energy, guidance, and creative spirit. From poolside chills to chai-fueled conversations, every moment felt special. I came for a break and left with memories, new friends, and a heart full of gratitude. If you're heading to Pondy — Ostel is where the real magic happens.

The property is located just by the Auroville beach providing a sea view from some of the rooms and the swimming area. It’s very beautiful property. Only thing is amenities are paid. Even toiletries. Though it’s not much cost wise. But as per the cost of the stay few things can be included. May be that’s how they operate in case of dorms. Overall it was a good stay. Would advise to add a mat in rooms as it gets very uncomfortable once you come from outside since it is a beachside stay. Would definitely recommend.

I planned to visit there for one day but end up extending my stay for another 2 days, the property is very spacious and designed very well, zero complaints on any service, be it cleanliness or water supply. Nice open kitchen restaurant with lots of options to chose from. Clean pool. And very friendly staff.

The rooms were clean and the washrooms too. There were RO water machines on all the floors, The beach is just hardly a minute away and it is quiet and clean as well. The food at the cafe is also good. The hostel is located on 2 mins walk from the main ECR Road. Overall a very nice place to consider.

My stay at The Ostel was absolutely great. It is a beautiful place with a stunning view of the beach. The beach waves hitting the shore make for such a soothing noise. Very clean, tidy and safe. I will definitely go back again and totally recommend this place for solo travellers.

beautiful premium resort like hostel with a very fun family like vibe. the volunteers siddhi and aradhana mingled with everyone and made our stay super fun and adventurous! a bit pricey but totally worth it.

Amazing place, great management, clean rooms, common area with games, karaoke, guitar, ukulele, open kitchen with fresh food prepared and most beautiful view of beach and the water from the terrace. My go-to hostel for very visit.
