Nice room to stay, good ambience, supportive staff. Bathroom is bigger than room. But for a hostel and backpacking stay it is worth

Ambience is nice. It's safe. The hosts are so good. Customer friendly. We loved the terrace. Had a good time with dormmates alsoo. Would like to visit again

The property was pretty

Great for solo travelers, found some really nice and friendly people. The host is extremely helpful. The property is a little far from the centre of auroville, so it is recommended to rent/bring vehicle instead of relying on walking. The property is located in a scenic and peaceful place, sunrise and sunsets on the terrace is amazing, and there is always something to do.

Chill place to relax and meet good people. Evenings and late nights on the terrace cafe is an experience. Quite close to auroville. Host anuj and all the staff are quite helpful.

It was great stay. Hostel owner was quite friendly and the cook and kitchen helps were really awesome.

Rooms were average but the roof top was the main attraction. The crowd that came was honestly great. I made a lot of great friends

Woodpacker is the best place for people who want to socialise with people from various places. The people over here are warm and welcoming.

Stay at wood-packer was a nice experience. Friendly and welcoming staff. Accommodation is good. The rooftop relaxation area is convenient with good dining facilities. Nice and simple place to stay.

The boys who are working there are so nice and helpful u will love the view the roof top and the food

It's very near to auroville and there are so many exploring places. Loved the facilities. There were no shuttles or buses that way tho. It's hard to find taxis also! anyway i enjoyed the days i stayed there!

Woodpackers is always good on vibes. I've been waiting to stay at this place since 2years but finally i ticked it off my list. Would love to revisit this place if time permits. Anuj is a great host, food in cafeteria is too good. Only thing they have to improve is their hygiene, wifi connectivity inside dorms

Swimming pool not working… Worst food and worst rooms.. Please avoid this hotel at any cost …

The place was situated very interior. Not recommended if you dont have a vehicle. Spacious place with garden outside. Friendly staff. Party scenes are good.

First of all, never book because as soon as you get there, they will call you out that your stay has been cancelled. Once they do that, you really have no choice. Then they categorically charge you greater than 2. 5 x of how much you have paid. Mind you, you get to stay in a hostel room with 5 more people at a cost which you would pay for a single room at other much better places. All this because once you get there - you really have no choice whatsoever. The host like he doesn't care - which he doesn't and will not provide you with any amenities. Please don't book this place ever.

It is a serene property with good swimming pool and greenery. However, power management is terrible. There are frequent power cuts which are for quite long duration. The property lists power backup as it's amenity, but it is not provided. There are 2 large generators at the property which do not run and customers have to stay in humid heat of pondicherry without fan and ac for hours. Apart from terrible management of power backup, other facilities of the property are good. Wifi signals are good in some dorms, and poor in some, but overall the campus is decently covered by wifi, but again with power cuts wifi also goes out. So if someone is thinking this place as workation, they should reconsider. Kitchen is average, many items written on menu are not available, but whatever's available is fine in quality and quantity. The value for money of the place is on downside, given that at goa or himachal or other tourist destinations you get hostels with ac and 24 hours power backup at half the cost of woodpacker. The added advantage which woodpacker has over the mentioned places is swimming pool and serene green campus.

Anuj is a warm host, he makes sure everyone is comfortable, and is having fun. So i’ll definitely suggest woodpacker’s to anyone travel-ling to pondicherry, solo or in a group, you’re in for a fun ride)
