Review Of YWCA International Guest House

Our stay at YWCA International Guest House, Chennai was quite disappointing. The overall maintenance of the room was poor, and we faced several issues during our stay. Most notably, the bathroom door couldn’t be locked, which caused a great deal of inconvenience and discomfort. Such a basic facility should be properly maintained to ensure guests’ privacy and safety. In addition, the general upkeep of the room did not meet expectations for cleanliness and comfort. The management should pay more attention to routine maintenance and ensure that all amenities are in good working condition. Overall, our experience was far below expectations, and we hope the guest house management takes immediate steps to improve their facilities and services.

Property located in a central place, proximity to both Egmore and Central railway stations. Large land parcel with many trees. Old buildings , rooms are large, with basic amenities. Clean and tidy.

Maintenance of room should b better.They should provide clean n fresh bed sheets.

it is an average, they had only two types of rooms Ac and non AC. there is No such delux category room withYWCA. room show while booking is completely different.....then one provided...a corner shaped small and cultered room given....coz i am solo. amenities...like mineral water only one bottle a day.....extra is chargeable. tea kettle was placed ...but sugar and coffee sachets...only for single time use....seems . In house food is Good.

Hello MMT Team, I had raised concern by contacting your customer excutive also. It was very terrible stay. I will never use MMT next time. I did not get any feedback from your side till date.

Pathetic hotel not worth for money . It’s very bungalow there is no proper service. It’s look like government college hostel. There is no food available after 9.30 in the morning they asking us to book it in swigy

Worst room and worst staff. Manager give me room without AC after complaints he offered me other room, but he want extras charges from me.

The guest house offers a cozy and comfy stay for all kinds of travellers. The property is lush green right next to the Egmore metro station. One can take a metro from airport. The meals offered are great. The guest house gives a vintage vibes and felt quite safe.

Staff was sluggish, building was old. Breakfast was decent. Overall decent as per tarriff.

Since 2017, I have been a customer of this place. In 2025, I stayed for one day in Room 119, and to my surprise, the place had become both more expensive and run-down. The ceiling was falling apart, with debris scattered on the floor and inside the commode. The kettle was dirty, and no cups were provided. Telephone’s not working. The hospitality and service were poor to an unimaginable level. This is not the YWCA I once knew and stayed in. It’s sad to see its decline.

location is excellent, food is very good. amenities are good but scope for improvement

The front desk & cafeteria are very good. But room quality is very poor. Bath rooms are not up to the mark. Curtains are pathetic & musty. On the whole rooms need drastic makeover & maintenance.
