Review Of Kainchi retreat

the hotel is good, the view from the balcony is good. I got the topmost room so the view was amazing, it was very peaceful. monkeys create a lot of rampage in the hotel & there are a lot of insects inside the room at night which come due to the lighting. apart from this, overall stay was nice. food is also decent. there is a bit of power cut problem which happens very often. rest is good.

Good location , excellent staff . Very near to Kanchi dham. One can walk to Kanchi dham early in morning for Darshan.

The stay was amazing. Property and food is great. But the only drawback here they haven’t mentioned Non AC rooms. There was is no AC in any of there rooms. AC doesn’t required in night but surely in afternoon it is required. They don’t have their own parking but they do have parking combined with other hotels. Then have to walk upstairs for hotel. The view is great from the rooms. Keep the doors close of the rooms in the evening and night as many insects can come inside.

We had expenditure a great experience at retreat. highlighted some fantastic aspects: - The peaceful environment on campus - The retreat's proximity to Kainchi Dham Temple (just 1.8 km away) - The luxurious feel of the hotel, likened to a resort - The amazing views and surroundings "Mza a jayega"

It was a nice property to stay near kaichi dham. Yet they had high prices in cuisine.. they have to think on it. To attract more customers

Nice stay but a bit far from the temple.. however if u take a vehicle from the hotel to the temple ,, it is overall a nice stay

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this experience was so atrocious that I feel obligated to warn others. I stayed at this hotel yesterday, and let me be absolutely clear – this was the worst hotel stay of my life. I have stayed in numerous hotels across various cities and price ranges, but nothing compares to the level of discomfort, filth, and deceit I encountered here. Where do I even begin? • The room was infested with ants and cockroaches. It was disgusting and absolutely unhygienic. • There were no amenities. • No air conditioning. The room felt like a furnace. • No fridge. • The bedsheets and towels smelled terrible, like they hadn’t been washed in weeks. • The pillows were dirty, stained, and lumpy — totally unusable. • The washroom was in an appalling condition — foul smell, mold on the walls, and no ventilation. • The food was pathetic — stale, tasteless. • the pictures and descriptions online were completely misleading. Nothing matched what was advertised. • The room reeked of dampness. Clearly not maintained or cleaned regularly. It is extremely disappointing that MakeMyTrip is promoting such properties on its platform. I trusted the platform’s curation, but this was an eye-opener. I would not recommend this place to anyone — not even for free. A night here is a night wasted. You’re better off sleeping in your car or a railway station. If you care even a little about your comfort, hygiene, or sanity — avoid this place at all costs. MMT seriously needs to take accountability and delist this hotel before more customers are cheated. I genuinely expect a refund against this booking.

The hotel is located close to kainchi dham ashram and temple. The look and feel of the property and the service is really good. Beautiful location.

The property is well-located and the staff were courteous and helpful. However, the Wi-Fi service was not functional during my stay, which was quite inconvenient for anyone intending to rely on internet connectivity. I hope this issue is addressed for the benefit of future guests.

It was wonderful stay. Enjoyed a lot. Staff is fully comparative. Food is good. Rooms are cleaned and well maintained

Location: Bit difficult to find but extremely difficult to access. it's good treacherous trek of atleast 5 to 7 floors and strongly recommend not to book for families with Kids and old aged people with back,heart and knee problems. it's extremely difficult for them to reach up to the reception and then take steep stairs to their room. it's a risky climb of mixed steps and uneven rocky slope. Food: DONT go for meal inclusive package as they have limited choices and behave as if they are feeding some needy and poor. The taste of food is very average, few things are not even edible like upma in breakfast. Rooms: No standard size, no clean washrooms, No clean Towels and bedsheets. The towels and bedsheets had disgusting stains making us regret our decision of booking the property for 2 nights. it's extremely unhygienic. The structure was made of metal frame and basic cement sheets with lot of holes through which rain water seeps in and even daylight enters. Housekeeping: Extremely poor, upon checking the toilet commode had stains of urine to which I complained and asked to clean. to my surprise a guy turned up with an old filthy towel and wiped the stains and went away. Later I noticed the same guy using the same towel to clean the railing around the property. This was the most horrific and most disgusting experience I've ever had at a hotel. Staff: staff was proactive in service and tried their best to deliver the best experience. Billing: Unethical practice they demand higher rates for water bottles and don't agree to charge as per MRP. DEFINITELY NOT A VALUE FOR MONEY. VERY AVERAGE, VERY BASIC AND NO HYGIENE FACTOR. ALSO ONE SHALL BE ROASTED IN SUMMERS AS THEY DONT HAVE AC ROOMS AND THE ROOMS ARE MADE OF TIN SHADES.

The property is at a hill top, people shud trek to reach the reception and then climb further to the room. Rooms are built of ply, the floor shakes when we walk. Washrooms and rooms are below average. Food is highly priced and poor in quality. No service standards. This is a holy place and we visited with parents. Both my parents felt uneasy as my father is asthamatic and mom is heart Patient. There is no management assistance in the property. No wheelchair assistance too. It was a trauma, we have experienced.

I don’t like this property because all staff miss behaviour and careless person replace the staff and improve quality

Wonderful property and location. Great for couples and families with kids. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, the steep climb can be a bit challenging for senior citizens.

The property is located at a convenient spot and at a walking distance from Kainchi Dham. I stayed with my wife and son of 11 years. At first, it seemed like a bit overpriced, but after checking in every penny was worth. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We loved how they served us for Lunch and Dinner with extreme love and affection.

Property location was very near to my desired destination. The food and other amenities were excellent. The services were quite satisfactory . I am fully satisfied with this journey. Very excellent experience.
