I am writing this to formally register a complaint regarding a recent hotel booking I made through your platform. I chose to book through MakeMyTrip because I believed it to be a trustworthy and reliable travel website. I was confident that booking through your platform would ensure transparency and a hassle-free experience. Unfortunately, my recent experience proved otherwise.
Here are the key issues I faced:
1. Misleading Hotel Photographs:
The images displayed on the MakeMyTrip website were completely different from the actual condition of the hotel. The photos uploaded on the site showcased a clean, well-maintained property. However, upon arrival, the reality was drastically different.
2. Extremely Poor Quality of the Hotel:
The hotel I was allotted was of extremely poor quality. The overall hygiene was below standard. The bathroom was dirty, the door was broken, and there was no latch or proper locking system.
3. Hidden Affiliation with OYO:
The most shocking part was that the hotel was actually an OYO property. Nowhere during the booking process was this mentioned. Had I known it was affiliated with OYO, I would have never booked it—especially when I was traveling with my family.
I feel cheated and highly disappointed. MakeMyTrip, being such a reputed platform, should verify its listings more strictly and ensure that hotels do not mislead customers with false images and undisclosed affiliations.
I request you to take immediate action against this listing, verify the property again, and provide compensation or at least a sincere resolution for the inconvenience and distress caused to me and my family.
