I had a very disappointing experience at Hyatt Chandigarh. I checked in around 5:00 PM and had to wait 25 minutes at the reception with no effort from the staff to make us feel welcomed. Finally, we were assisted by Mr. Ajay, who handed over the key to Room 250. Upon reaching the room, I found it wide open and completely unprepared – clearly left in the same state as the previous guests had checked out.
When I informed Mr. Ajay, he explained it was due to a “technical error” and reassigned me to Room 212. Unfortunately, this room had zero view – just a closed area with a few plants. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was told another room would be arranged, but no one ever got back to me.
To add to the frustration, my luggage was never sent to the room even hours later. Despite multiple calls to reception, I eventually found it lying near the hotel entrance around 8 PM and had to request it to be sent up.
Overall, the management and hospitality were extremely poor. Having stayed at several 5-star properties, I have never faced such unprofessionalism and negligence elsewhere. This stay left a very bad impression, and I will not be returning to this property again.
