We had stayed at Hotel Platinum Inn, Ahmedabad in the past and had a pleasant experience, which is why we chose to stay here again. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely disappointing.
We had booked two rooms, and the ACs in both were not functioning properly right from the start. Despite reporting it, the issue persisted, and we had to change rooms multiple times. In one of the rooms, the AC and fan stopped working around 1 AM, causing severe discomfort and suffocation — I had to change the room at 1:15 AM in the middle of the night. The next day, the AC in the changed room stopped working again.
The maintenance quality was extremely poor. We even found cockroaches in the room, and the taps and showers were full of scale deposits, clearly indicating a lack of upkeep.
The only saving grace was the Silverdine restaurant, where the food quality remained good as usual. However, the buffet breakfast options were very limited, and the restaurant should consider adding more variety to the menu.
Overall, this stay was far below expectations, especially given our previous good experience. The management really needs to focus on basic maintenance, cleanliness, and functional amenities before this property loses its regular guests.
