Review Of Hotel Mayfair - A Heritage Hotel

The hotel initially rejected our MMT booking. We were a group of two families, including 4 kids. After a lot of talking, the hotel provided us with two rooms which were not satisfactory as expected.

Hotel rooms needs some cleaning, repairs as it is heritage hotel and regarding food, morning breakfast is good however if we get suitable Maharashtrian, Gujrathi lunch/Dinner, It is more preferable. Apart from all these observations all other parameters are excellent.

It was worst place, information given on mm t was absolutely wrong, very poor menu and expensive also, will not recommend to anyone

The property is old bungalow style, beautiful with very spacious rooms. We had booked a 3 seater, but manager gave us a 5 seater. Washrooms are the size of rooms in a new hotel. Geyser and hot water is available. Restaurant rates are a bit expensive but food quality is good. Only thing missing is a tea-coffee maker in the room. Very near to main market and taxi stand. Ample parking space.

Dustbin in the washroom had old stuff in it and was not cleared. Hotel room was small. We were asked to move our car to another place as there was going to be a market set up outside and this caused inconvenience as it was our check out day and we were getting late. The glass in which bournvita was served was broken from the surface, the bedsheet had black stains, no calling service and only a switch to ask for tea, etc but no-one came until the time we went out and requested face to face to the waiter for tea in the morning. Hotel has a small park with swing and slide for kids which is good. Sure. I already paid a handsome tip better than this

We are regular at hotel mayfair and as usual the experience is just wonderful, stay, food, staff, just amazing. For people reading this before considering to stay, below are the points. 1. Rooms are individual cottages, the property is parsi, vintage structures. 2. The property is an botanical extravaganza. Ample place for children to play and adults to have a stroll on grass lawn. 3. Manager mr. Singh is excellent and best in guest handling, the staff is courteous and friendly too. 4. The hotel is 5 minutes walkable from the main market. 5. Food is excellent and tasty, all guest are individually served the meals on separate tables.

Very good place to stay. I wish i had stayed there a bit longer. Very nicely maintained premises.

The biggest drawback of the hotel is there is no intercom. There is a switch for room service upon pressing which a person comes and asks you for service. Sometimes even pressing for 3-4 times no one comes. You need to walk to the reception for service. For some rooms they have good corridors but for some they don't. You just have to sit in the room and not enough arrangements to hangout in the hotel.
