Rooms are too small and congested Hotel has no lift hence people with knee issues and senior citizens should avoid this hotel Complimentary breakfast was average at best. Even the breakfast area is small like a tea stall. If you are strict on budget and are a solo traveller book this hotel or else please avoid this.

location was very good. this property has small cosy rooms n bathrooms meant for 1-2 people only. rooms were neat n clean. service was good, staff very polite n helpful. restaurant was good too. but power backup not there if there is power cut. good experience

There is no lift in the hotel

we booked 2 rooms of which 1 room provided was in pathetic condition, damp smell in the room and patches on the wall. Worst experience this time at Kumkum. Hotel needs proper renovation and maintenance.

Kumkum Hotel is a very good option from every angle – budget-friendly, neat and clean rooms, helpful staff, and a great location near Mumbai Central and Grant Road railway stations. I stayed here for 3 days during the Ganpati Visarjan. The rooms were cleaned daily, including fresh bedsheets and pillow covers, which made the stay very comfortable. The staff were polite and always ready to help. One particular incident made me feel truly grateful – while I was outside the hotel, my wife and child were staying there. My child had a fever and needed medicine. My wife asked for help, and someone from the staff went out of their way to arrange medicine for them in my absence. This thoughtful and caring behavior left a deep impression on me. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, clean, and safe place to stay in Mumbai, Kumkum Hotel is definitely worth considering.
