Review Of High Bank Peasants Cottage

I am so happy to stay at high bank peasants cottage. I stayed here few months back as well but now they have transformed it to next level after recent renovations. The rooms are big and with beautiful balcony. The roof top cafe for breakfast is so beautiful with mesmerizing view of the ganga and the whole town of rishikesh. The bathrooms are so fancy as well. The breakfast served was pure magic with home recipes. This is probably the only guest house on the edge of the reserve forest with nice breeze and the sound of forest. I certainly recommend this property to any one who is looking for a unique and peaceful accommodation in rishikesh.

The rooms are not equipped. Broken tea kettle provided, no simple black tea bag, milk powder given. They have closed kitchen, didn’t even have bottled water.

High Bank Peasants cottage is probably the best location in Tapovan , area of Rishikesh. It is right next to the forest area. There roof top terrace offers 360 degree of the mountains & Ganga river flowing through the town of Rishikesh. This view is mesmerising specially in the evenings. Their in house RARi’s Café serves great meals with Pahari recipes in the dinner as well as breakfast which you can enjoy in the garden area or the roof top terrace. You can spend hours on the terrace with the view and sound of birds from the adjacent forest area. This guest house has great garden and a giant Cactus which is one of the biggest in the world, as per the guest house team. One can also relax in the garden with great green lawns with the pleasant smell of the rare herbs they grow. This is the best place for couples & families in Tapovan area especially for children who can play with Timroo, a well-trained family dog who keeps every one busy with his tricks and playfulness. If you are in Rishikesh . Try this place. I highly recommend.

I absolutely loved my room, the view and the beautiful gardens and rooftop at High Bank Peasants Cottage which has the best views in all of Rishikesh. All the staffs made my stay so comfortable and relaxed, Baba and Seema are so lovely and generous. Car transfers are available with notice and very well priced. The set breakfast is huge. I had to ask for only a 5th of what was on offer so not to waste anything. The area is surrounded by the best restaurants and yoga drop in classes. And it's a short walk away from Laxman Jhula. It's best to grab an auto rickshaw from the main road at the bottom of the hill 10 Rs vs 200 Rs at the top to get to the other side of town. This place is fondly in my memories.

Really enjoyed this haven, away from the noise of the city. I thought the rooms were great, tastefully arranged, and loved the fridge which allowed me to chill beer! The gardens were great, with a wide array of places to sit - rooftop, cosy balconies next to my room, and a fabulous garden with an amazing cactus plant!

Rooms of the hotel were average. And not bad at all. Good for a quite and peaceful stay, with more facilties around. Such as restaurants and more inns to stay with. Narrow Lane going up to. All cottages and with good inclined road, parking was available inside the hotel
