My experience
The property is in a very remote place, the road to the stay is not maintained and makes the nighttime trip a little frightening. The food is quite pricey, the staff is excellent and helpful, A bad choice for a summer vacation.

royal stay in midst of serene beautiful tea estate
An English type bungalow in the midst of a tea estate with five rooms far from the bustling town is the highlight. Rooms were spacious with antique furniture with a very good scenic exterior Very quiet atmosphere, you will be awakened by the beautiful melody of Malabar whistling thrush bird Staying for three days , we had a very pleasant experience . Even though the spread of Food was little , it was excellent and kind to the stomach. Food was like home made. Mr.Ravi , the cook was really good and made any dish we asked for in a fresh and tasty manner. The hospitality shown by Mr.Saravanan was absolutely remarkable. The activities in the bungalow were limited with indoor games and one badminton court and table tennis. Overall a very good place for people who are tired of their normal work routine. A good place to rest if you are a nature lover and do not expect resort or star hotel amenities. The cost is high for the room and facilities but it is worth a stay for its location and serene beauty.

Good place to stay for family
This is a good place for nature lovers. This property is in the middle of tea estate, fully secured by electric fence, very safe place with Garden, Batmitton Court, Place for Indoor and outdoor games. This place is 5-10kms away from city center.

Good Stay
Stay was good because of excellent location, facilities in room. Food was also good. However, more variety of food especially in breakfast would be better. Game room also should be well managed. So I feel room rate is a bit high. Overall stay was nice.

family with 1 kidHad a pleasant stay at Hornbill bungalow,Harris Holiday Inn...the property is located in a calm serene environment, with breathtaking views around...the bungalow is maintained safely with electric fencing and beautiful garden around the property.The room was so spacious with antique furnitures....The staffs were very polite......I would give 5 star rating for the cook,who prepared delicious vegetarian meal for us during our stay...only one suggestion,they can plan for some activities for the kids(as they have large empty areas)

familyAwesome place to stay, the lady cook is awesome cooks really some delicious food, flowers in the resort are really quite colourful. They can maintain the table tennis playing area a little better and can add some activities for kids such as slides etc.

Good Stay
Pros: the resort is inside a tea estate. The view from the compound is amazing. However the tea plantation view is not seen from the hotel room. The room was large, the furniture was of good quality wood, providing a traditional ambience. The staff were helpful and polite. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. It is better to opt for the food from the resort if staying there, since nearest restaurants are in valparai town, around 6 kilometres away. Cons: there was a delay of 15-20 minutes for food preparation, for lunch and dinner. Not many activities inside the resort, except badminton and table tennis. The roads leading to the property, and the road inside leading to resort are potholed and without streetlights. So better to reach the resort before sunset and avoid going out before 7am. The area is also known to have presence of wild animals like elephants and bison.

Good Stay
Harris hotel is bungalow which is situated and surrounded by tea states. Overall a good experience for a family and very hard working cooks and care taker. There is ample space of parking in which around 10-15 cars can be parked. If you are coming to valparai, i would suggest to keep eatables handy as don't eat outside food. If you still want to eat lunch and dinner, just tell your preference in this hotel and cook will prepare the asked menu as per your preference. To reach here, google maps will tell you 1 point after which there is board which indicates directions. Just follow that direction and narrow road to reach the destination. Breakfast options would be limited to idli, dosa, pongal, poori sabji on every day.
