Golden Tulip Goa Candolim

The property needs to be maintained more, the only plus point is the rooms are big.. Food is average, restaurant service is very poor , breakfast buffet below average.. room service and housekeeping is good.. they don’t follow the norms, our stay included some amenities like complimentary 2 pints of beer which was not given... they are running the property like a local hotel

This was our second visit to this property within a year, but the experience this time did not meet our previous expectations in several areas. The quality/spread of breakfast and dinner at the restaurant was not up to the mark. While the pool and the rooms were well maintained, the overall hospitality was less welcoming than before, especially from the staff at the front desk. I think property needs a full time presence of owner or senior manager.

Reception staff behavior very roud and food quality not up to mark in all food no salt, kids play area is there but all instrumental broken , loction is good

I have been visiting golden tulip for last weekend it's a real golden place to stay. Rooms are super clean and service is prompt. The front desk counter is polite and do adjust well. The resturant amazing and breakfast is very good and quality swimming pool is very clean

The stay was very nice specially in Royal Suite room, It was very specious and the private pool is the cherry on top.

good stay, near and clean rooms, bathroom and hotel common areas. buffet breakfast was superb... menu can be added on considering the cost being charged Swimming pools are clean The In house Olive Spa is totally professional and best in service .

Such a lovely place with clean, spacious rooms, fresh linen, spotless washrooms, valet parking, quick check-in, complimentary beers on arrival, a kids’ play area, two pools with balls and floats, a gym, a spa, and a restaurant. The room had all the necessary amenities in working condition. The only thing missing was a hair dryer—perhaps available on request, but having one in-room would have been more convenient. The fan in the balcony was a nice touch, but it definitely needs cleaning as it had multiple layers of dust, making it seem like it hadn’t been touched in a while. A clothes dryer on the balcony would also be handy. Breakfast at the restaurant offered great variety, and a special mention to Miss Taro—she was lovely, attentive, and always ready to help. We also tried their in-house restaurant for lunch and ordered a couple of cocktails both at lunch and poolside, but unfortunately, neither the food nor the cocktails had a wow factor. Location-wise, it’s very close to the happening Candolim area, making it a great option if you want to stay near the action. Overall, we really enjoyed our 1-night stay here.

The reception staff lacks the professionalism expected from a hotel of this category. They were unable to manage even a small group efficiently, and our check-in experience was frustrating. Despite confirming our booking, the room was handed over late, and they seemed to forget that we were waiting in the lobby. Meanwhile, rooms were being assigned to other guests who arrived after us. Basic amenities were missed — complimentary welcome drinks were not provided, and concerns raised about the room were either ignored or denied. The room had spider webs, felt damp due to excess moisture, and did not match the quality standards one would expect. The affiliated massage parlour also fell short of expectations and did not seem professional at all. Overall, it feels like the star rating is used just to justify higher prices, but the service quality is closer to a 2-star hotel. Very disappointing experience.
