Housekeeping needs to be improved. Some instances of shabby housekeeping - pillows were smelly, covers needed to be changed, the floor mat in the bathroom was not changed, the wet mat from the previous day was kept unchanged, hand towels were missing, floor was not cleaned properly, the wrapper left by us remained in the corner upon our return to the room in the evening

Sterling karwar is located nicely on the not-so-busy state highway The rooms are nice and the food is good. The staff is excellent and very helpful. Specially Kuldeep Yadav at Rasa (their restaurant) was very attentive and helpful and mindful of our needs. Vilma at the reception has been excellent and has assisted us throughly right from room reservations all the way to all help we needed about places to visit and other things we needed help with. She has been very very helpful. Overall all the staff members are very helpful and attentive The place has quite central location and makes it easy for us to access both sides of konkan - south towards gokarna and North towards goa beaches like palolim

They upgraded to suit Old style hotel. Little luxury look was appreciable for the money paid. Beer was totally unavailable in the Bar/Hotel. Front desk people were very good. Veg Food was not at all up to the mark.

Our stay was quite disappointing and not up to the Sterling standards. Although the hotel carries the Sterling name, the property itself seemed poorly maintained. Despite rooms showing as available on MMT, the receptionist initially informed us that none were vacant. After showing the online listing, we were allotted a room where the AC wasn’t working and the curtain had fallen. When we asked housekeeping to fix it, they casually said they’d do it the next day , a complete disregard for guest privacy and comfort. We had to get it managed on the same day. The shower area was also very cramped, without a curtain or glass partition. Overall, it was an unpleasant experience and far below expectations.

It’s not worth a 4 star. very bad experience

The rooms are the size of kids rooms including the washroom. U cannot stand or sit comfortably anywhere... no space to put an extra bed. The room says its king size bed. But it’s actually queen bed, where 2 adults and one kid cannot sleep. And they don’t have door mats anywhere . The room was untidy and wet when we checked in. The staff is so slow in responding to anything. We had to carry and get our luggage down ourselves at check out.
