Review Of Cassells Bunglow Resort

The place looks good but hospitality was poor. The food they made was not good and nothing special about the place

I had a wonderful experience at the home stay bungalow. It was blissful to stay in the midst of a tea and cardamom estate, surrounded by nature and tranquility. The road to the estate was a bit rough and unpaved, but it added to the charm and adventure of the place. The food was delicious and the caretakers were very helpful and attentive. They went out of their way to make our holiday memorable and enjoyable. The bungalow was very close to gave eco tourism, which we plan to visit next time. We also went trekking for 3 km uphill to watch the sunset, accompanied by one of the staff and two adorable dogs for our safety. The view from the top was stunning and breathtaking. The bungalow had facilities like a campfire and cozy rooms. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were neat and rustic with modern fittings. I loved everything about the place and i will definitely go there again. It was worth every penny.

Bang-low was great chef zahirull islam such a nice guy. He cook both veg and non veg food. The food was delicious. Overall great experience m.

Terrible, horrible place & roads road is very dangerous, any time wild animal came at resort & road. Staff is rude, no. Policy for resort.

we didn't even like the room and we were unable to stay there due some issues. The room was not at all the same shown in the pictures. So we did-not take an accomodation there and we came back. So please try to return the amount back.

Location of the property was very convenient to reach. Caretaker was helpful and rooms were comfortable. Property was neat and tidy. It is a recommendable property.

The stay was excellent. The location of the property was pretty good. The staffs were extremely helpful and friendly, their behavior was so nice. The host was very helpful. It is a wonderful property in all aspects whether it is of cleanliness, security, facilities provided, location. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was delicious. It was a great family trip.

Excellent environment to relax with family/friends specifically during monsoon if you are traveling in your own vehicle.

Around half a mile up in mountain to reach bungalow is off road so it's a kind of adventure. Old home room is very basic with limited amenities, but the view is fabulous, only sound you can hear is waterfall, birds and trees leaves round the clock. View point located 20 min up-hill above the resort is must watch specially sunrise and sunset. When we reach there was 5 staff members one cook, 2 helper, 2 caretaker. We had Kerala lunch and dinner and it was good.

We were shocked to see the resort located at least 1 km from the main road and have to go through good and bad roads. But once I made the first trip, I could get hang of it, but for first timers it is very difficult, frustrating and confusing. If any other vehicle comes opposite, then it is little trouble. Basically it is a Guest house of the owner converted to resort. Not a typical hotel/resort. Not recommended for families as this place is isolated and those who don't have their own vehicle will find it difficult as somebody has to come all the way up to take you down. Ideal for people who want solitude, silence. The staff was courteous but not professionals. Being peak season the rent I paid is little expensive for this resort.

Apart from the location of the resort which by the way is little difficult to access there isn't anything great about it. When I arrived there was no one to talk to in order to get the check in done. One staff person showed up but was completely disinterested in knowing why am I even there and what help do I need. It took good 15-20 minutes of me wait at the entrance in order to get a response and room. The room itself is very basic and lacks the space and most fundamental item a door lock. So primarily you leave your stuff in the room on good faith. Only part which made me feel good is the view point located above the resort.

One of the worst hotels I have seen, unsafe and broken roads. Unsafe area, no lighting. Pathetic service, no staff member trained professionally for Hotel Industry. Only 1 single person doing cleaning, cooking, front desk. Worst food quality, no hygiene, not even serving water to guests. When I cancelled my 2nd day reservation after receiving this kind of treatment for first night, owner refused to refund my money as well. Would never recommend to anyone. Not even in free.

Extremely good place with ultimate view. Yhey have huge land on moutain with tea plantations. You can have nice morning walk to the peak of the mountain and camp fire is the real fun.

Location are wonderful, but service are third class and dirty rooms. They show photo are different and stay cottage are different. Both are very third class. No TV, food is also average and serve at late night after 10. 30 very bad experience.
