Excellent Stay
I literally loved everything. The room was awesome, the balcony view was to for. moreover their hospitality was 10 on 10. I would like to visit there again . As a solo traveler , I felt safe and secured. It was a great trip for me. I had fun. I'm really impressed by their hospitality. The way they arranged my room and other stuff, I'm very happy. As a solo traveler I was a bit scared to be honest. But when I reached there , the way they treated me made me feel secure. I'm looking forward to doing more trips like this . And by Make my Trip got such a cheap room . I'm happy ☺️😁

Thanks for your review. We provide home cooked food only, continental food not available as you asked for. Due to heavy rain during your stay at total North East region, electricity was interrupted Frequently several times, in fact your posted picture shows that you had electricity in your room. Our power back up Generator service from 6 pm to 10 pm, not for the whole day, because cottage is inside the forest area. Also all rooms have provided with additional emergency light connections. Since you asked for emergency charging, we provided Generator at day time also for sometime. We do not have wifi facility as mentioned in your voucher. Room size average is apprx 300 square ft, quite enough to accommodate 3 pax. All basic facilities including Room mirror etc provided for all rooms. You mentioned as" Excellant" for your stay in our guest register again looks contradictory about what you are saying now. Requesting to provide Real reviews, instead of fake Personalized Reviews. But of course we do not allow overnight party after 12 midnight inside the rooms, as per local authority. You can enjoy in the Lawn area.

Thanks for your review. There is a service number provided inside the room for any issues during your stay for 5 days. As we understand there is zero phone call for the issues you mentioned. Please do not ask them questions as a Travel agent. All can see our review rating above 4.2 for food, cleaniness, views, location, child friendly etc. There is a big lawn area in the property where child can play. Also we can see your handwrittrn review as Good in our register. Requesting everyone to provide real Reviews. False and Personalised review will misguide others.
Average stay
Property is in a decent remote location with good scenic views but rooms could have been better based on the price charged. Food was horrible

Excellent Stay
Very good stay, cosy and comfortable. The owner’s behaviour was too good, he always made us feel at home. All the food was also served very hygienically and was also very tasty.

It was nice experience, food and room was good, the place is clean, washrooms are ok. How ever no ventilation in the wash room making life difficult to stay at the room after use of wash room. The foul smell back flows to the room

Thanks for your review, All washroom have natural net ventilation through wooden roof, Because inside forest area, open ventilation not allowed. You may close the washroom door after use. Also all rooms have seperate ventilation window. Else inform our service people to clean your washroom during your stay. Requesting all to put real reviews, which might help others. Thanks again.

The room is poor. No almirah/cupboard. The hooks by door are just some iron nails. Actually the place kolakham is not at all a place to stay. Better one stay at lava.

We understand your concern, but unfortunately kolakham is a popular offbeat destination, people enjoy the natural peace and clear kanchenjunga view, nuturing their emotional mind, far from daily busy life, guest shared highest reviews already for room facilities and surrounding views.
Room was good
Room was good, food was average. Only most worst part is you have to take car for sightseeing from this hotel with high cost, if you take car from outside then they will disturbed you. One boy telling himself cab syndicate member always staying there, and always ask you to take cab from himself otherwise they did not allow to take car for sightseeing from outside, its totally horrible to take higher rate cab from themselves

Thanks for your review. Regarding room and food, guest rated high in all reviews, cab hire charges from this homestay is same as for others, because car pricing depends on local syndicate, hotel is no way related with this cab charges, this system is common for all hill areas.

Enjoying Kolakham
It's not a homestay only but a view point. Just awesome location. Manager is very polite and friendly. I suggest everyone to stay there.

Average Stay
The property has a very good view of the mt Kanchanjunga. The staff looking after the guests are remarkable and simple minded persons and serves good food. Cleanliness needs to be improved and so is the quality of amenities provided.

It's all about the view
The greatest thing about this hotel is it's location, view and a very helpful caretaker. The room and attic are fine. The bathroom is poorly maintained, shabby, with a broken hand shower and toilet seat. There is a TV in the room which is nothing but a showpiece, with no set-top box. The authority claims they could not recharge this due to a connection problem, which is vague, as other hotels do not have such a problem. The fooding charge is high and there are no other options but to accept it. The most disgusting thing about the hotel is its entrance, which is slippery and slanting, where any aged person can break their bones easily.

Must visit if you cherish being one with nature
The place is remote. Away from technology. Network reception is low. Frequent power cuts. But that is the beauty of it. With fresh air, cool temperature. Candles make the ambience even more appealing when power isn't there. The manager at the homestay is very friendly. These are home stays so please don't expect star facilities. Food cuisine is native and fresh. Simply go with the flow and relax.

Not recommended for anyone to go
Room condition was extremely bad. Light in the bathroom was not working during so many months because candles were put inside. No pest control was there. So many spider, insect etc inside. Not properly maintain the room condition. Food was average. No option for food menu. Also foods was not hygienic. Tv was installed but not working. Bathroom condition was pathetic. No exhaust. Commode was broken. So please just avoid this hotel to book
