We booked two Super Deluxe rooms at Blue Pine Resort through MakeMyTrip, expecting a comfortable vacation. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but relaxing.
We checked in well before time, but were allotted rooms in terrible condition:
• The door knob was missing, and when we asked for it to be fixed, it took forever. We were here to enjoy a holiday, not get involved in property maintenance.
• The rooms had a strong, unbearable sewage smell—like raw drain water. I’m pregnant and extremely sensitive to smells, and this made the stay physically distressing.
• When we complained, the staff casually suggested we “open the balcony door” as a solution. They also promised to bring room freshener, which never arrived.
• The sewage smell persisted throughout our stay, making it impossible to relax or even sit comfortably in the room.
• There was visible sewage water leaking from walls and pooling outside the rooms.
To make things worse:
• When we asked for snacks, we were told the kitchen is closed, and we should order from their other property, Alpine.
• Customer service was horrible. The two front desk receptionists were rude and completely unprofessional—especially the heavyset male staff member who began mocking us in his local language while we were expressing genuine concerns. This is unacceptable behavior from a hospitality provider.
