Room with a shivering experience
I stayed in room on 8th November night the heating system of my room suddenly stopped and the temperature became too cold! When I called the Hotel staff they said it is failure of the heating system. No proper answer on by when they will fix the problem. In the morning again same answer. The system was not fixed till I checked out on 9th November 12 noon! I had a very unpleasant experience.
Room: Classic 1 King Bed
Good Stay
I landed in morning requested for early check in but refused. After half hour again tried with request and payment for early check in, I was allowed so I was happy or else I had to wait for 5hrs. My first experience was good. May be I will stay again if early check in is allowed.
Room: Classic 2 Double Beds

Fantastic location. Breakfast very very limited. The issue was the check-in line. The huge line to check in or check out.

No service orientation
My wife and I stayed at this Hotel for 3 days and it was one of my worst Hotel stays. I am a frequent traveler, due to work commitments and have traveled to various other cities of us before. I would list down some of the worst things I experienced about Hotel Pennsylvania. Poorly maintained rooms. Dirty linens.Leakage in bathroom. No orientation of the staff to help. Smelly carpets. AC controls not working these are just a few of the negatives.

Avoid staying here
We reached hotel at about 12.pm. We request for check in every though they had room they denied for early check-in and asked for additional price. For early check-in. Out check- in time was 3.pm . Why does hotel keep buffer time between check in and check out . It's only to make up the rooms and not for making money. When I asked for luggage to be kept at luggage room. They asked me to pay per luggage just to keep for 3 hour. Hotel had about 8 counters for check in and check out but only two were operative which resulted in a que of about 45 min to 1 hour. Even after all this I was not allowed the room which I booked as showen in the picture. Sorry but my experience with this hotel was not good.
Room: Room, 2 Double Beds (Penn Plaza Collection)
Room quality
Extremely poor housekeeping and maintenance of room
Room: Classic Room, 2 Double Beds
Great location
Location is perfect, you can't get better than this. However, the classic rooms are terrible the beds are really tiny, no way 2 people can fit into that. It's old, musty and tacky. If at all you are booking here then spend the extra money and book the renovated rooms they are much better. On higher floors, larger rooms, large king size beds and overall well appointed. They do not have any restaurants or room service. Its purely a bed and breakfast place even the breakfast is at a restaurant across the street and you need to queue up for a cup of tea and a pastry.

Room are not clean, rats are in the room, front desk gave very bad service, very bad house keeping service, only good thing is, hotel is in good location.
Room: Classic Room, 1 King Bed
Terrible room
The hotel provided me with a terrible room and charged me for facilities that were accounted for when the hotel was booked. They cancelled my colleague's booking despite being told he would check-in early next morning. All in all pathetic service.
The carpet was soiled so was the duvet. The we had sewage water in it and when I open the tap the water too was putrid. For the first time in 25 years of traveling to the us, I had to buy water to drink.
