Review Of Canareef Resort Maldives

If you think paradise gets old, try visiting Maldives after 8 years and over 30 countries later—spoiler: it still slaps harder than my weighing scale after resort buffets. This was my family’s second trip to Maldives, and this time we camped out at Canareef Resort from 13th to 16th September 2025.First off, booking? Smooth like the island sand. Transport? Flawless—I barely had time to wonder if my luggage would beat me to the island (it didn’t, the staff had it all sorted). Canareef’s team is so quick on WhatsApp, I half expected them to start reading my mind.At Gan airport, staff picked us up, smiling like we were A-list celebs (my daughter now believes we are). The welcome at the resort was so heart-melting I almost forgot I wasn’t in a Netflix rom-com. The team there is always cheerful; I suspect they have a secret stash of never-ending coconuts that keep them so happy.The island itself is huge—big enough that walking might burn the calories you just inhaled from the buffet. Speaking of buffet, the food was plentiful, and my family and I pretty much declared ourselves victorious at every meal. Between that and the buggy service (which felt like our personal Uber with zero surge pricing), moving around was effortless. They also hand you bicycles for free—so yes, I rediscovered cycling after years, wobbled like a baby deer, and immediately remembered why cars were invented. Pure fun though.The beaches? Some are so stunning they make you question your life choices about not being born as a hermit crab in Maldives. Everything is peaceful, clean, open, and buzzing with little activities to short: Canareef Resort basically turned me into a happy child again, and I’m pretty sure my family’s plotting to make this a yearly ritual. Maldives after 30 countries still wins, hands down.

We really enjoyed our stay at canareef. Beach park is amazing. Beaches near beach villa should be cleaned regularly and food can be improved

If you love the calmness with nature, Canareef is one of best. We loved the serenity, blueness and the arrangements. Just laid back and enjoy the things.

I stayed at Canareef for 3 nights and now really wish my stay should have been longer. This resort offers everything you would expect and that too with quality. I really liked the sunset villa, south beach, swimming pool at dhoni bar, gym and the fish feeding point. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Buggy service is awesome. Will definitely go there as soon as I get a chance. I will recommend family and friends to visit this resort for sure if they are going to plan a vacation to Maldives.

A little piece of bliss. Just that it's unapproachable might be makes it more exotic
The bathroom us open, which makes it exposed to the heat and insects wherein privacy is not an issue. You have to wear sunglasses in your bathroom as well

The reception and house-keeping staff are courteous. The room was tidy. The staff at restaurant need to be more helpful and impartial. The food is just above average.
