Things to Do in Zermatt

  • The Anglican Church of St. Peter

Piety is important to the locals in Zermatt and a dozen churches around the town bear witness to it. The Anglican Church is 142 years old and celebrates the tradition of alpinism through various inscriptions inside the church dedicated to mountaineers.

The remains of one of the mountaineers who lost his life in the first ascent to Matterhorn, is buried under the high altar.

  • Golfing

For non-skiers, Zermatt has a 9-hole golf course with a gorgeous view of the Breithorn and the Matterhorn. It’s closed during winters.
