Review Of Vajra kunj Homestay

Vajra Kunj is a quiet Homestay with a beautiful view of the mountains (on clear days, you can see the Kanchenjunga as well). Though there is no car access to its doorstep, it is not too far from the thoroughfare street below, where taxis, train, etc .. ply. Situated on the slope of a mountain, with a sit-out in front of the guest rooms, Vajra kunj offers a delightful view of floating clouds along the mountain sides and multi coloured pots of flowering plants. It is just about 200 meters away from the largest monastery of Darjeeling - the Dali Monastery. Babita Madam, Bishu and Priyanka take good care of the guests. Babita madam is a wonderful cook as well! Loved her fresh Momos!! It is very cold in this area, but the rooms are wellequipped with electric blanket and woolen blankets. Besides, there is an electric kettle for warm water. The bathroom has a geyser as well. The only downside is that being so cold, it is probably difficult to wash and dry large blankets. My blankets were not very clean and I had an allergic response. Also the room could have been dusted and cleaned better - carpets were dirty and walls had cobwebs. Bathroom was dusty. Bathroom gave ice cold water in the wash basin and from the health faucet. One can adjust to it by mugging out hot water from a bucket full of geyser water. This was a bit cumbresome. Despite little hiccups, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the warm hospitality of my hostess Babita Madam.

It was a great experience with vajra kunj home stay, foods was too delicious and services are too good with great behaviour,the view point from this location was fabulous. It feels like we were in our home due to their hospitality

It is one of the best homestays in Darjleenig. The food they provide is too good and you feel like staying in your own house. The owner's behavior is also very good and the view from the housetop is amazing.

Very comfortable location with a great view of kanchanjangha. The behaviour of the owner and his wife is very gentle and humble. They welcomed us with a special darjeeling tea. The rooms were well organized and neat and clean. Every required electronic item was there in the room and washroom like an electric kettle, an electric warm mattress, geyser, extension cord etc. Overall a great experience. Will definitely refer to my friends and will definitely choose this homestay again.

This Place is a vibe! It is located in such a place where you can easily reach and get taxies just about the outside road. They provide tasty home style food as well and can also make cabs available should you require that. Speaking about the rooms and homestay, so you'll find everything here that you need to have a comfortable and enjoyable visit. But most importantly, the owner, Bishu ji is really the most polite and humble man. His behaviour and his courteous service puts this homestay above everything else. Whenever I come back to Darjeeling, I'll for sure be staying here. Highly Recommended!

It’s a great place to stay. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the owner. All members were extremely friendly. Home cooked food was very nice. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience & we will visit again with our family members & friends. I would highly recommend this place and i would definitely want to come back to this place again.

The owner and his family were very welcoming, friendly and hospitable. The food was was delicious, home cooked food. We enjoyed our stay at vajra kunj and highly recommend this place.

Room is at top of road so be ready to climb with luggage. They have no servant. Overall room view point is good. U can get view of mount kanchenjunga. They have terrace facility. It is complete home stay as owner leaves with dog. Breakfast is complementary they provide taste is good and quantity also.
