Staying at Uma Residency with my team was the worst decision ever. From the moment we checked in, things went downhill. The toilet flush didn’t work, and when the staff came to “fix” it, they only made things worse. The AC barely cooled, and the rooms were extremely small.
To make matters worse, the atmosphere didn’t feel safe at all — a man just stood at the gate late at night, staring and occasionally trying to talk, making it very uncomfortable for us as two girls. The lobby didn’t feel secure either, and the hotel staff did nothing when we raised our concerns.
The next morning, we had some locally bought items with us, and the staff rudely said only luggage was allowed — not the extra bags. When I questioned it, the front desk bluntly said “not allowed” and told me to speak to the manager. The manager sided with them and coldly told us we could just cancel our booking.
No courtesy, no empathy, no professionalism. We were forced to scramble and book another hotel just half an hour before our departure. Absolutely not recommended, especially for women travelers.
