Review: Disappointing Stay Near Coimbatore Railway Station:
This hotel is located very near the Coimbatore railway station, which was convenient for our late-night arrival. The receptionist was awake and efficiently confirmed our booking and allocated a room, which was a positive start.
However, the property itself is quite old and appears poorly maintained. I was staying with my wife and 2-year-old son, and unfortunately, the room's cleanliness was a major concern. The quilt and bedsheets looked very dirty, old, and completely washed out and faded. While the washroom was relatively clean, it lacked a trashcan and no hot water in the morning. Furthermore, the room's intercom was broken and unusable. We also noticed a couple of cockroaches in the room, making it feel very unhygienic.
The hotel's amenities were also severely lacking. There is no cafeteria on-site. Breakfast, which was served quite late around 9 AM, consisted of a pre-packaged meal brought in from a nearby restaurant, offering no variety. Guests have to go out even for a simple cup of tea or coffee in the morning. The television set was an outdated 90s model and only showed Tamil channels. The lift was small, accommodating only three people at a time, and was not even working in the morning.
Overall, this hotel is not value for money. I would strongly recommend spending an extra ₹500 to find a better 3-4 star hotel nearby.
