I recently stayed at this place about 1.5 km from Kodai Lake and 2 km from the bus stand. The location is super peaceful, with lovely views, and the caretaker is really friendly. Plus, there's a secure gated parking area, which is awesome if you're driving.
But, to be honest, there were a few hiccups. The water pressure is pretty weak if you try to use two taps at once, which makes me think they're trying to save water—a good intention, but it shouldn't come at the cost of basic comfort. Also, we had some uninvited guests: caterpillars kept dropping into the rooms, probably because the roof isn't concrete. The caretaker said it was due to the breeze and rain, but that felt like a bit of a brush-off.
Security-wise, I noticed some internal doors that seemed easily accessible from the outside, which was a bit unsettling. And even though they advertise laundry services, they charge ₹20 per item, which wasn't mentioned beforehand. We only tried the breakfast once, and it was just okay—not bad, but nothing special.
Overall, if you're looking for a quiet spot to just chill indoors, this place might work for you. But the water issues, creepy-crawlies, security concerns, and extra charges were a letdown for me.
