Good Stay
We stayed at Shalom Backpackers Mussoorie and had a great experience overall. We booked a 4-bed dorm room, which was comfortable and well-maintained. The toilets were clean and hygienic, which is always a big plus. There was some moisture in the room, but considering it was the rainy season and dew was everywhere, it was understandable and didn’t affect our stay much. The highlight for us was definitely the rooftop café — it’s a lovely spot with a wide range of food and beverage options. Everything we tried tasted great, and the ambience made it even better. Overall, a pleasant stay with good facilities, friendly vibes, and a memorable rooftop café experience.

Awesome Experience😍
I travelled to Mussoorie with my fri and we stayed at Shalom. My experience was excellent. The hotel’s location was perfect — right on Mall Road — so everything was easily accessible. The view from the hotel was amazing. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained, and the washroom was neat and clean. The hotel staff were helpful, polite, and supportive. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

Good Stay
I was staying in a Dormitory. Overally, the property is well located and it is cheap. The bathrooms were clean. However, there was bad smell in the ground floor. Besides, housekeeping did not come to do a complete room service of the room. My bed was not made at all during housekeeping hours.

Shalom Backpackers is located right in the heart of Mall Road—one of Mussoorie’s most vibrant and historic areas. Surrounded by cafes, shops, and spots to just sit and soak in the vibe, the location is unbeatable. The staff was friendly and courteous, which added a warm touch to the stay. However, cleanliness was a concern. The room and bathroom had an unpleasant smell upon entry, and I found spiders and cockroaches in the bathroom. The kettle and glasses were not clean, and basic toiletries weren’t provided. If the management works on improving hygiene and maintenance, this has the potential to be a great place for travelers seeking convenience and atmosphere.

Pros: The location of the venue is really good, very good access to the mall street. the staff is helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Brahamanand, who manages the rooftop cafe. Food quality is great. Cons: Some deluxe rooms are smaller than shown in the MMT pictures. If you are traveling with family you will notice the hygiene issue ( pillow covers were clean, but the pillow inside literally had black spots may be because of mold growth) At night, I faced an issue of bachelor's shouting and smoking in the lobby.
