Subject: Urgent Refund Request for Incorrect Hotel Booking – Immediate Action Required
Dear MakeMyTrip Team,
I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding my recent hotel booking made through your platform. At the time of booking, the reservation clearly displayed the stay period as 15th July to 16th July, implying an overnight stay. However, upon reaching the hotel, I was shocked to learn that the booking was only valid for day-use, requiring check-out on the same day, which completely defeats the purpose of my reservation.
This is highly misleading and unacceptable. I was neither informed nor warned at any point during the booking process that the reservation was only for a few hours in the day. When I requested to extend my stay to include the night by paying additional charges, the hotel outright refused.
I immediately reached out to your support team, and I was informed that an issue would be raised with the hotel and that my booking could be cancelled if I chose not to check in. Based on this, I did not check in and expected timely resolution. However, there has been no update or refund initiated from your end, which is deeply disappointing.
Please note the following:
The booking was not honoured as per expectation.
I did not avail the service.
I followed your support team’s advice to not check in to be eligible for refund.
I request an immediate refund for the full amount paid. If this is not resolved promptly, I will be forced to escalate the matter further and consider filing a formal complaint with the appropriate consumer forum.
Please treat this as urgent and respond with a resolution at the earliest.
