Review Of Megapode Resort

Location is good but lacks basic hospitality both at room and at restaurant especially when you are charging 4500/- for an avg room.

The room service can be much better and food service and quality so be improved

Wasroom was not clean. Lizard was there in the room and no one have changed our room when asked to change it for us. Services was very slow. Rooms were not clean

Location is great Cottages have the best sea view Food is disappointed Staff is great

Room cleanliness was average. Frequent power cuts. Extremely poor breakfast spread.

View from Only Malabari cottage rooms is highlight of this property. Staff is courteous n helpful but food especially breakfast spread very limited lacking taste and staff is not available during these peak hours. Property old requires renovation . Not easily accessible from main city

An amazing property which is well located and maintained. However, i feel the facility lacks life and lots can be done to infuse some energy into the system. Service was good with scope for lots of improvement. The good and beverages need an urgent revamp to keep the guests interested.

Megapode is the best Resort that I have stayed in Andaman & Nicobar. Location is really good with an amazing view of jetty and sea. Food quality is so tasty.

Location is good , close to main road. Not good for food. Has a good view of ocean. Room was not so clean.

Water cloggage in bathroom, no good room service the management is very slow, good needs to be good very less options. Overall property location is good having good views

Rooms are not up to the mark. No curtain was there on the window. Wash room is also not much good. No exaust fan in bathroom. Though, staff are very good and responsible.

Very spacious and friendly staff. Food was okay okay. Rooms are old model type. Best view of sea and sunrise.

The location of the property is excellent, the food was also very good and the service/behaviour of the staff was also very good.

It was extremely unhygienic. Dirty plates and cutlery, we killed 3 cockroaches and there was also a decomposing cockroach in the bathroom being eaten by around 100 red ants. Food was cold and oily; raita curd had soured and was stale. Most problematic was the male staff being rude and also staring at body parts when they think we are not looking. Seems like the only reason this resort has good reviews is because other places in port blair manage to be even worse. Will never come back and advise others to never stay here.

Location is good. Food has limited options but taste and quality is excellent. Other amenities are satisfactory. The service is very very bad. They will have only one or two staff for serving food even if the property is fully booked. This means the service will not be good and it’s true. Also please enquirer if there is a party or some event because, if there is then the dining hall/restaurant will be closed for dining. You will need to order room service and it may take hours to get your food. I ordered at 8pm and got food at 10:30pm. If you complaint they will just ignore or say a simple sorry, remember they are govt owned.

Ac was not working properly due to frequent power cuts. Though we are not using extra bed, they are charging extra rupees for kids above 5 years.
