Review Of Maria s Homestay 3BHK Furnished Apartment

visited the homestay on our way to kalimpong. was there with mom, brother, sil,driver,two pet dogs .The home stay is clean, spacious, and organized.Maria( host) was helpful. She is also a good cook . Although food at the home stay is pricey but it's delicious. Her karayla fry was yummy ,crispy& not at all bitter.Poonam(helping hand) was also there & she washed the dishes.alsways smiling, helpful & friendly. Pets allowed again nominal charge. We parked our car at their garage against a nominal charge for eight days - from Siliguri to kalimpong we used rented car because of the road conditions & local drivers are more comfortable/skillful for such roads.We stayed at this home stay for two days ie - to & fro - as such no issues with this place - little bit interior - it's silent, peaceful place but stay was during Diwali so pataka sound was there - suggestion black out curtains & not transparent/semi transparent curtains - privacy issues . the room /bathroom dividers/ threshold ( in bengali - we call it chowcut)was low so it was not an issue for me ( i have walking problem) Overall five rating because pros are more than cons .

We went to siliguri with our family including two pet dogs and stayed there for one night. Maria and Stephen were very friendly and helpful and catered to any needs we had. The food was very good and the rooms very clean and tidy. Mosquitoes were there but they immediately arranged for coils and repellent. The parking space is also big and any 7 seater car can be parked easily. We will put up there again when we visit siliguri.

The owners are very nice. And very accommodating. It's just that anyone booking should know that only 2 rooms have ac and one doesn't. Its not mentioned on the description and not clear in the photos.
