Review Of HOTEL TRANQUIL RETREAT

Very reachable location, mountain facing views. Services were very nice and quick and staff was very helpful and professional. Going to stay in the same property on my next trips.

Hotel provided room which was not booked by me and they said it’s mistake. they provide me average room

It was a comfortable stay at hotel tranquil. The hotel has a professional staff. The over cleanliness was good, the food quality was perfect. Most importantly, the location of the hotel is very convenient.

Great location - 10 min walk to the market. Rooms were decent (slightly dusty, the mountain view from room window was amazing. Food was not good, we had breakfast outside after we tried the first day and we had dinner at country inn that's right across the street. Staff were overworked and slightly unorganized. Room service was slow and they didn't do housekeeping despite reminding 2 times.

The junior suite accomodation allocated to me on 23 November 2023 was very comfortable and well maintained amidst the sub zero temperature outside. The lobby is fantastically decorated with wood crafts, chandelier lights etc. and the food is awesome. The management leaves no stone unturned to take care of the comfort of stay and I am sure you will have no complaint. They arranged site seeing to Zero point, Zozila point, Bal Tal point during my short trip providing a Fortuner. They can also horse ride to glacier on demand.

The amenities and services provided are equivalent to a hotel in one third the price listed. Poor maintenance of the hotel.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. But the bathroom fittings were broken which i brought to the notice of the hotel management on arrival. Dining area was beat and good was good. Housekeeping needs improvement. They were not available when needed. Rooms were not cleaned when i asked them for the same. I had to remind them. More than once and yet it was not done. That was a major disappointment given the high price.

I don't understand why this hotel has been rated 4 star. This has by far been the worst stay in our last few weeks travel-ling india. The level of hygiene is appalling, The bedding was stained including the pillows and bed sheet, the towels were also unwashed, tables were not wiped down. In addition to this their service was terrible, room service got our order wrong 3 times l, the 3rd time they attempted to fix the order they sent us uncooked potato in our food. Instead of pineapple they sent guava, we asked for veg pakoras they sent paneer when we specifically asked to not have paneer. I do not recommend at all. They have a lot of improving to do.

Very limited staffs, there is no maintenace of the restaurant. It’s not worth spending so much on this hotel

This is a luxury hotel, but when at cold of sonamarg, this is the place to stay. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, and heated. It's right in front of thajiwas glacier trail entrance. And food, my goodness the food is just awesome, we had breakfast dinner at hotel for our entire stay. The staff and manager are very courteous and professional.

I experience no privacy at the hotel even the door of rooms had a gap and whole night i cannot sleep because there was someone who was talking on phone and i can hear that in my room so i can say no privacy at the property. It was waste of money hotel is not clean as well on the third floor where it was my room

Tranquil retreat is one of the best place to stay in sonmarg, surrounding with mountains. Price is little costly during peak time.
