I had a terrible experience during my stay at Riva Palace in Ahmedabad, and I strongly advise against it for families or couples. On the second night of our stay, the hotel hosted an extremely loud private DJ party with Bhojpuri and Bollywood music blasting well into the night. The noise was unbearable and continued until 3 AM, making it impossible to sleep. It felt more like I was staying at a red-light district or a party hotel rather than a place for a peaceful stay.
I was genuinely scared for my family’s safety and even considered contacting the Ahmedabad police for help. However, my wife urged me not to complain, fearing the situation could escalate. I could not get any rest, and this ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing trip.
While the rooms are decent and may suit business travelers, the lack of consideration for other guests, especially families, is inexcusable. The hotel's management needs to seriously rethink how they handle noise levels and guest comfort. I would not recommend Riva Palace to anyone looking for a quiet, family-friendly stay.
