Stay was ok but I didn't like bathroom cleanliness

I had a great stay at the Chettiar Manor, would highly recommend if you want to experience the Chettiar way of life up close. The staff is very warm and helpful, and the food too was an absolute delight.

Hotel was good, Had the traditional chettinad house vibe. But the air conditioning was not great. Ac was not cooling properly, was making a lot of noise in turbo mode. Break fast is traditional tamil food, Good not great. Apart from that, it was good.

The properties is too good to stay . Nice and clean place and. Also the services is too good . The staff and owner everyone is equally supportive and good . This is the first time I felt these much good experience during my travel . Moreover the services and support they provided was truly mesmerising. Worth for the money . May be I can say the best part of my Chettinad stay was I chosen this place for stay

Extremely welcoming staff and very helpful in arranging commutation from/to Railway station and also itinerary within budget for seeing places around. Very clean and beautiful mansion.

The property is located in Nemathapatti, around 12 km from Karaikkudi and 28 km from Pudukottai. It is conveniently situated near the main road and within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even calling us in advance to guide us, including recommendations for sightseeing. The mansion is not very large compared to other similar properties, but it is beautiful, and construction is still ongoing. They serve authentic village food, charging ₹350 for a vegetarian dinner and ₹400 for a non-vegetarian dinner. However, they do not serve full meals at night; instead, they offer tiffin items such as chapati, adai, and idiyappam. Breakfast is complimentary and unlimited, including coffee or tea. The staff were polite and accommodating. Since they do not have a fully equipped kitchen, food needs to be ordered in advance. There are no nearby restaurants, but Zomato and Swiggy delivery services

The stay is decent, location is ideal to reach to all destinations in karaikudi. The owner is very friendly and accommodating

The hotel has great potential with a charming and inviting look, but it lacks proper maintenance. While the place appears cute and cozy, the reception is often unattended, leaving guests to manage on their own—including carrying luggage to the first floor. The bathroom facilities are outdated, with a bucket so old that it discourages taking a shower. When we inquired about dinner, we received no response. Communication is also a challenge, as only one staff member seems to speak English, and they are rarely available. If you don’t speak Tamil, you might find it difficult to navigate your stay here.

My stay at Chettiar Manor was exceptional. The facilities are immaculate and well-maintained, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The quality of service and attention to detail truly stand out, making it a memorable experience. From the clean surroundings to the well-organized management, everything reflects high standards. I would highly recommend Chettiar Manor to anyone seeking excellent hospitality and a seamless stay. It’s a perfect blend of comfort and service.

This is overpriced stay. It's a new building still under construction, only half part is completed. No lift is available, there is big hole left for lift with no barricades so dangerous for kids. Not maintained well. Bathroom is not good, water stopped in the morning and i had to go down to inform them as the intercom was not available. Complementary breakfast is just ok. For lunch and dinner you may have to travel 12kms as no nearby resturants available.

Very good ambience and good accessibility. Very clean rooms and supportive staff. Authentic tamil break fast. The property is being renovated that kills ethnic touch of the ancient building.
