This was my first MMT booking, and also the first homestay experience. I found it rather convenient to book a homestay than a hotel, mostly because of the lower prices and the ability to stay and have fun together (in hotels, you're constrained because of less capacity).
Anand Darshan Homestay was situated not very far from Nakki Lake, the area around is decent and peaceful (though one downside is that there isn't any market nearby). The rooms were decently maintained, the host was cordial and cooperative, the bathroom quality was manageable but could have been better. There wasn't any arrangement for food there, but the host helped us order from a restaurant, the food was nice (though we had to order more than we wanted otherwise they weren't delivering it).
Also, there wasn't any lift and our rooms were at the top floor which was an inconvenience.
I stayed with my family for 1 night only, but a takeaway that I have for it is that it is also a nice place to have fun with friends if you're a group of 7-8 people, you can book the bigger room with 8 person capacity, and you can enjoy drinks and other activities here too.
All in all, a good experience!
