The stay was comfortable and the guest was well looked after from the second day of the stay till the end. Unfortunately there was an avoidable hiccup on the day of the check-in. The room was booked by me for a guest arriving from out of town and the property was chosen by me solely for its location (which was close to a metro station).
Although I booked the room one month in advance and received a confirmation from MMT, on the day of check-in I received a call from the hotel saying that the room booked was not available and the guest would be moved to another property about 5-6 km away from present location.
I refused for the guest to be moved since location was the only reason for booking room in this particular hotel. On my insistence MMT also intervened with the hotel and I was assured that on check-in around 2 pm the guest would be given a standard room for taking rest (the guest was unwell) and by about 5 pm the superior room (which had been booked) would be made available to the guest.
However, in actual fact the guest (in her unwell cndition) was made to sit in the dining room for about four hours before the superior room (as booked) was provided. Guest condition worsened due to the prolonged sitting while she needed to lie down instead. But for four hours she was not provided a proper facility to rest.
However, to be fair, from then onwards the hotel staff was very apologetic and courteous and took good care of the guest through the remainder of her stay there.
