Review Of The Bay Hotel

I had selected the place solely for its location. It turned out to be the most magical decision of the visit. From checkin to checkout, it was seamless. Assured privacy, wonderful staff and perfect maintenance made the stay an absolute delight.

The hotel has a great location and the rooms have a nice layout. We had two sea facing rooms with great views. the poor service by certain sections of the staff. The breakfast staff was pretty bad and always choose to ignore guests and their requests. They need to be called repeatedly to ask for coffee or remove plates and over time for the three days we had breakfast we could tell they were doing it purposely. They chatted among-st themselves and moved around aimlessly trying not to make eye contact with guests. One of the attendants with a hat responsible for help with luggage had a lot of attitude quite weird for a seevice industry professional. Only the guy at the camille bar was very nice and other attendants who worked around the hotel fixing issues in rooms. Thats why reviews and ratings are not great for this property despite being in a fabulous location. The management needs to quickly evaluate and change the existing staff which prov-odes a bad experience on this overall nice property. We stayed at the taj cape town for four days before this and the stay and service was impeccable from staff to concierge to everything. Its a shame how a bunch of staff who are smug and not interested in their work can make the experience sour for guests.

Good Place to stay right at Camps Bay beach. Breakfast options can be improved Staff was helpful and friendly. They charge additional for parking (which is weird and can be avoided). Overall value for Money and I can consider it again for my future travels to Cape Town.
