Review Of Tom's Old Mansion

The place is good. But it's not maintaining well. The rooms are not very hygienic. Especially bathrooms.

Nice hotel, helpful staffs, but it lacks necessity such as good toilet and gold shower and basic shower accessories such as shower gel etc.

I have stayed in other hostels and though this would be equally good but it was not. No other guest, no restaurant option, toilet was not flushing, fungal smell in the room, no fan, no garden chairs as shown in pics. Low budget back packer can crash here for rs per night

I visited cochin for my exam, hotel is just normal, ac other normal facilities is there, but room is very small, not bathroom foot step matte is available

When they say heritage homes, don't expect too much. Tom's Old Mansion rooms are very basic and simple, well maintained and definitely worth the money you pay. Something I missed was kitchen/restaurant. Been told, it was closed due to off season. Will recommend Tom's Old Mansion if you prefer a decent space to rest after roaming in and around Fort Kochi.

Had a nice stay. Very near to Fort Kochi Beach. Good service. Room was big with necessary facilities.

Rooms are fine. We didn't order food it is basic place to crash, it is very good for people who want to stay in the centre of the city, everything is well connected you can easily find everything. Rooms are clean and big pretty spacious.

The overall experience was good. Nice and friendly staff with good helping mentality. Was appreciable if the room was kept more clean and tidy. But it was a very good experience. The room was not so small and was facilitated with cupboards, tables and chairs.

The hotel: The hotel is an old house that has been converted into a hotel. Sadly, it is quite poorly maintained and most of the rooms are TINY! There are only three large rooms, and ours was one of them. But it had no windows, it was musty, dusty, and had two small bulbs lighting the entire room. No intercom, room service or geyser/hot water. The WiFi was quite bad, and we hardly had any cellular network inside the room. Our second room was so small, there was no place for anything in the room apart from the double bed and one small table; no TV, no plug points or space to walk around. The only reason we agreed to stay there was the location. It is centrally located. Else, the rooms are overpriced. The service: The service was mediocre. They shut the main doors after 10, and getting in after that was a hassle. We had prepaid for the rooms on MMT. The room they gave us was so small (and nothing like the photograph on the website), we asked for a bigger room. We were charged an additional Rs. 2000 and we didn't even get a receipt for it. Overall: The only thing I would recommend about this hotel is the location. Everything else was below average, with none of the usual amenities. I did not get what I was promised on MMT. Extremely disappointed with the experience.

Location: Probably the best Location in Fort Cohin area with all major tourist spots in close proximity. Hotel: Rooms were tidy. Staff: High regards for their dedication towards customer service. Special mention "Hotel Manager Mr. Anand". Overall it was a pleasant and peaceful stay.
