Review Of Thangkharang Cottage

The bathroom was really clean, which I appreciated. However, the room itself was not very up to the mark. The bedsheets were dirty with stains, and the blanket had a smell, which made the stay less comfortable. At night, the voltage seemed low, so the table fan was running very slowly, though luckily the rain made the temperature quite pleasant. The best part about this place is its location — it is exactly near the gate of Thangkrang Park, which is very convenient. Regarding food, they arrange it from a nearby restaurant, but there seemed to be a miscommunication. Even though we placed our order well in advance, we didn’t receive the items we had asked for. Overall, a mixed experience — great location and clean bathroom, but the room quality and food service need improvement.

Very good rooms, with good food and excellent service by the caretaker. Clean rooms and bathrooms, recommended for groups of families.

The cottage is very beautiful and clean. it is located in a scenic place. It is just near to Thangkharang park, which is again one of the less known place to visit in Cherrapunji. Staff and owner are also very polite. And yes....icing on the cake of this stay is the home food they provide.

Location: excellent food: simple and nice amenities: only the basivs4 services: excellent, the caretaker provided the meal, bf and also made a nice campfire in the evening.

The stay was pretty good. We, group of 7, stayed here for 2 nights. The staff (prince bhai) was really nice and helpful. We were provided with clean and hygiene room, morning tea, packaged drinking water and bonfire. The only issue was that there was no internet (wifi was temporarily not available, but we were informed about that beforehand. Highlights: cleanliness 10/10 ambience 9/10 caretaker behavior 10/10

Very pathetic condition of cottage. It's totally unsafe for family. No mobile network & internet. No amenities & services. It's just a normal room that too not safe for family. I went there but couldn't stay there bcoz of safety issues.

The hotel is located in a remote place near the forest. We have security issues there. The place is very lonely at night and not sure why mmt recommended this hotel for family

The cottage was not worth the rate that was charged. Granted it was clean and the caretaker was good but it was not a high end place nor was it a proper hotel. The photos led us to believe it was. The price should have been within 1k

Dear sir, we did-not stay at the cottage because of security issues, we asked the manager/owner of the property to refund our booking then he told us that he would return 75% of booking after 2days if we don't cancel the booking through makemytrip, accordingly we didn't cancel it on makemytrip. But after 3days onward s he is not responding our call n massages and till now we have not receive our booking amount. We have the details of chatting list as a proovr. Plz do the needful otherwise if we receive such type of hospitality then we will not with makemytrip any more. Thank you

The service was wonderful, great experience, pricing is fair overall good, but there is only one problem that the room is little damp due to the area is watery.

I am totally disappointed. This home stay is about 21 km far from sohra, but in the property description it was mentioned as 5 km. But the home stay is good and completely beside thankharang park, rooms are small, service boys are trying to provide accommodation properly but due to the long distance, they are unable to do much. Actually in cherrapunji, there are a big number of homestay with good accommodation and facilities with good locations, so my advice is please book because there are nearly 90% homestay and hotels are offering cheaper prices when you are booking
