This beautiful property is located opposite to the Seven Sisters waterfalls. There is a separate dining hall, which is quite spacious and offers a variety of food. There is also a swimming pool in the property. The staff are very helpful.

The property was okay , but in the rooms some unwanted activities where there . In the night the Jacuzzi started itself though the switch was unplugged, the Fridge in the Washroom started shaking which was already off . The bathroom door was locked when we slept when we checked it was found open . Room No was -511

I was very disappointed with my stay. The price of the room was extremely high, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The in-room swimming pool was dirty and clearly not well-maintained, which was very off-putting. Additionally, the food was overpriced, making the overall experience feel like poor value for money. Definitely not worth the cost.

food was excellent room experience could have been better given the price per night tv didn’t work room landline didn’t work couldn’t connect to reception neither restaurant had to go out physically asked for extra drinking water after dinner in room which was brought only in the morning..so overall experience was good could have been better

Bad food and room condition was not good. Basically room was stinking and very weird rules of the property irritated us. I came with my friend and he was also not satisfied with the stay. We too work in a travel company and this kind of service was seriously not expected

The overall ambiance of the resort is good and family friendly, however the room needs renovations. The cost paid for the rooms is not at par with the amenities provided. The private pool in our room was very basic and un maintained and needs an overhaul.

The location is impeccable and staff appears to be adequate too. The facilities seem satisfactory. The beverages and cocktails were good, though there is room for improvement in the food sector. A more extensive breakfast spread would be more in line with what one would expect from a five star.

Poorly maintained, horrible rooms, no WiFi, no Network

Rooms were dirty, bathtub was non-functional and had dirt stains on it, the intercom was not working and we were given mobile numbers to contact for room service or housekeeping, who did not answer at all. The rooms did not get any network and the Wi-Fi was down for 3 days consecutively. The staff at reception did not know when it would work at all. The swimming pool had people jumping inside without costume and eating. The property has great views of the Seven Sisters fall, but is not worth the premium at all.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Polo Orchid Resort, Cherrapunji. We stayed in the Waterfall Pool Suite, which offered a breathtaking direct view of the Seven Sisters Falls and came with a private heated plunge pool — perfect for relaxing at any time of day. The hospitality and service were top-notch. Special thanks to Mr. Suprayu, Mr. MacDonald, and the courteous staff at the Sohra House Restaurant and Spa Centre. They made sure every moment of our stay was smooth and enjoyable. What touched us most was how the team went above and beyond to care for our 1-year-old baby. They provided complimentary milk and freshly prepared infant meals like khichdi whenever we needed, without us even having to ask twice. That level of thoughtfulness and warmth is rare and deeply appreciated. The food was delicious, especially the variety at Sohra House. We also loved the floating breakfast experience — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for unwinding in the private pool. The entire property is clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. Whether you’re a couple or a family, this is a perfect place to disconnect from the chaos and reconnect with nature and your loved ones. I would highly recommend Polo Orchid Resort to anyone visiting Cherrapunji. From natural beauty to warm-hearted hospitality — everything was truly five-star. Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so memorable.
