This place needs loads of work and improvement
Good:
1. Staff are very courteous and helpful
2. Special mention to Pratap who entertains with his talent and passion
Opportunities:
1. Our experience with this place has been extremely mediocre. Staff in the restaurant are very courteous. But tables do not get cleaned on time, food in the buffet do not get refilled timely need to wait for a very long time.
There is good amount of effort that has been put in from the staff but still lacks maintenance and management.Quality of food can be improved and heavy veg options can and should be improved.
2. We stayed for 2 nights and we wanted the room to be cleaned when we were not in the room, but their cleaning takes place only between 2pm to 5pm. Ideally cleaning should take place when the guest is out. Since we wanted to get some rest we asked the staff not to clean but just get water and towels. The towels came but the water did not. I had to ask multiple times for it.
3. Bar did not have a bar captain, had to wait almost for 10 mins for him to come.
4. Our key card stopped working suddenly on the 2nd day, there are not many staff you can find and there is no house phone (it's a 4 star properly) bare in mind. I had to go all the way to the reception and get a replacement.
5. Phone in the room was not working(it was replaced as soon as we asked for it) , AC was leaking, fridge was dirty(though we had no utility of it). But these are some basic things that need to be taken care when you are giving a pretty picture on the website. This is no where close to a 4 star property. Loads of room for improvement.
6. Not friendly for old people as this is on a hills too many steps to climb up / down.
While we had a good time overall, the stay at Sterling did not add to it. It was a disappointment.
