It's a very nice property, very nice and cosy, relatively well maintained and good for friends and family vacations taking the whole villa, just going there for de stressing and living there the whole night be it 3 or 4 days, although you've to sacrifice a bit on food with limited choices and same food with respect to style and cooking. Mostly local people working there are nice and friendly. Overall you'll enjoy your stay there with some limitations. Those of us who are used to 4*deluxe or 5* hotels will find these as limitations, others won't so much. Vikram the man from Uki need special mention, tireless, always at your beck and call and always doing more than he should and so polite and gentle, even when not much of an experince with him, not mentioning him will be a crime. Although Sushil, the cook cum manager, and another gentleman and lady, all 4 of them need special mention. Even owner has called up to say sorry for some small fiasco and gave us complimentary bonfire which is gratefully accepted and enjoyed. Cons of the property/host - as it's neither a hotel nor a declared homestay or whatever it's called technically which requires more tax, you won't get any signage of directions along the way but only just a signboard outside the property as it's declared as private property, so difficult to find even with Google Map, especially where, small bylanes are even 50 mtrs, you wouldn't know which one to take as Google Map is mostly not precise. Maintenance needs to be more and better. I guess more customers they get or more business they get, they'll hire more people and things will be taken care of more, they'll hire more or more professional people. This property has 4 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms so even after dining in dining room, you've to go to your room to wash up, so should've been there. With living and dining room having no bathrooms is a problem and atleast they should've a washbasin outside the dining room, perhaps on the wall outside the dining rooms for washing up. It was tough for me climbing up the stair just for washing. Food choices are limited and almost everything tastes the same, maybe better helper can improve the offering and cooking styles. If you're there just to relax and have all your meals there for 3/4 days, beware you'll run up a good bill but no proper billing which has to be paid in cash as there's no card facility. So carry a load of cash even in this age of no cash. We've been given an option of paying and getting a proper bill through StayVista the agent but with GST, so stay visa sent a link to pay with 5% but you've to pay more if you're paying through a card and StayVista will never send you the bill with GST. For us a week had gone by no GST bill has come even after filling up Google Form, neither the property bill with 12% GST nor the food bill with 5% GST.
Stayvista says ' 4 bedrooms, max 11 people or '5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, max 12 people etc. but never says or highlights ' beyond so many person adult such and such per head etc. or you can say they've kept hidden. So say a 4 bedroom property you enter with 9, immediately you'll get a call that you've to pay at such and such rate for extra person immediately online to StayVista, yes immediately like threatening you at the same time they won't take responsibility of anything. How far from mall or centre, they don't say on the portal and their portal goes bonkers at anytime, don't have space for discount coupons even when it's declared, so on and so forth, far away from being good, leave alone professional. This property is costliest among the rest around of same kind say 4 bedroom, but we couldn't find the reason for say with respect to another nearby Summer House, etc. Be clear with Stay Vista in writing on every point before you chose any property and note they're the costliest among this type of non hotels, so have a lot more responsibility and lot more to give than being mere agent.
