The caretaker and host are kind, but that’s where the positives end.
Location is dangerously remote – we had a medical emergency at midnight before Eid, and the nearest open hospital was 20 km away on winding roads.
No basic facilities – no ceiling fan, no glasses unless asked, no ice cubes, no spoons, and hesitant to give plates.
Food is terrible, especially tea/coffee.
No veg options nearby – not suitable for vegetarians.
Medical knowledge is poor – wrong medicine suggestions.
No real river view – the river was dry.
Rooms are just okay, but very basic.
Stay closer to the main Wayanad town for a much better and safer experience.
