the overall experience was awesome. but due to heavy rains, I could not check in on 8th July, out of 2 room nights we have availed only 1 room night. could we get compensation for 1 unutilised room night.

Poor Stay
No electricity in night, concerned person did it attend the call so we spent entire night in dark

Sir just a reminder that The Royal Swiss is a forest retreat in the middle of a bird sanctuary, sometimes due to bad weather power cuts can happen which are difficult to fix at night , however we still have Generator till 12p.m as well as inverter backup through out the night , not really sure why you couldn't figure that out in your room sir, also the staff is available at night only till reasonable hours and not through out , however we loved hosting you at RSC!
Amazing stay
coupleMust pay a visit once if you are looking for a peaceful environment with amazing scenic view, a comfortable stay with a lot of common space, the mesmerising infrastructure with e co friendly amenities, delicious meals( mushroom curry is a must try), beautiful sunset after a good trek, star gazing. On top of all this, if you are /are not a pet lover, jojo & mojo are the cutest pets you will meet.

Terrible Stay
It was a horrible experience staying at royal swiss cottage. Poorest service and location without any view of nature. You will find only barren mountains and nothing else. Booked this cottage with very high expectations but it was terrible

Travelling and life are a matter of perspectives. Every Individual perceives them differently, it's happened for the first time that anyone has ever been so critical in putting us down in this manner, however we loved hosting you guys at the property and making exceptions to our services for you guys specially. Pure raw nature
It was nice family time with pet in pure raw nature. Food served was excellent. Staff is cooperative and humble

Yes indeed if you are disrespectful towards the property owners and the sanctity of the property and our house rules , we have zero tolerance towards anything that doesn't align with our concepts and values. If you can not respect the hosts then indeed you will not get any respect in return. we recommend choosing a property which lets you blast crazy loud music in your cars at 6 a.m. in the morning and making an extra person stay in the cottage without any prior intimation about the same and later arguing about the same thing, first thing next morning.
Excellent Stay
Awesome location and perfect heaven on earth. Loved the place and the limelight mojo and jojo. Very good food and perfect bliss.

Overall review
coupleIt is nestled among the hills far away from population. Extremely recommended if someone is looking for peace, tranquility and wants to avoid usual commercial stays. Food was homely and mostly north indian style but menu options need to be extended.

Property location is good
Property location is good and good staff only issues with over priced food menu food quality and quantity both are not up to marks. while be booked but actually while reaching over property then we come to knows actually it's tent not rooms. Over priced according to facilities.

Sir, we really appreciate your feedback over your stay at our property, thank you. However the booking for two g lamps was made by yourself sir and we definitely can not take responsibility for it, we would recommend you to properly check your accommodation choices pure booking and certainly the overpriced tag comes with the constraints of running a jungle property.

familyAll things went well from checkin to checkout but we couldn't meet owner. Coordination issue was observed as staff was only for cooking and housekeeping.

Greetings mr ayaz thank you for staying with us, we understand this was your first time you staying at a luxury jungle property. We really appreciate guests who take out time to plan their staycations by going through the reviews as it provides a better insight about the property.
Peaceful stay at Chail
familyIf you're looking for a quietness and seclusion this is your abode. Reaching there is a bit scary for first time visitors as the road leading to the hotel in not pick and needs proper maintenance. Hotel signboards are also handwritten and poorly visible. However, once you reach there you will find the owners (who also live in the same property) soft spoken and co-operative. This is a home stay and not a hotel as clarified by the owner. One thing which needs improvement is the food. I did not find the food tasty and found it overpriced too. Food rates are comparable to any 4 star hotel. Side orders like beverages and butter also are on the higher side. Pricing needs a re-look for sure. Other wise the stay was good and felt homely.

There are lots of things to do Around such as adventure games/obstacles, mountain biking, trekking, jungle walks, meditation, bird watching etc. The reason would have been that you checked in at midnight and left next day after breakfast. That said you are most welcome for a longer stay anytime and enjoy the nature to its full potential Regards Royal Swiss Cottage
Amazing stay
The stay was amazing. A very peaceful location with great hospitality. The food is amazing and so is their cute pet. Go for it of you are in search of peace and want to have a stay amidst the nature and a little away from the crowded hustle.

Home is where the heart is
familyIf you are looking for a retreat, a rejuvenating experience to dust off all the fatigue and monotony of your city life, visit this sweet home away from home at Chail, Himachal Pradesh. We visited Royal Swiss Cottage last week and enjoyed a blissful stay there. A warm and tastefully decorated interior clubbed with a natural setting outside is something that is special about this homestay. The pine grove within your reach, the hilly trails awaiting your footsteps and the orchards of apple, pear, walnut, pomegranate Around you are sure to make you feel completely within nature. The host, the Sen family, is really courteous. Kanishk and Aditya are always there to ease out and extend any help you need. The brothers are very friendly and sober. We being dog lovers, had a real bonus in store, a super cute Golden retriever moo who won our hearts at first sight itself and remained our major attraction during the whole stay. He is the Sen family's youngest member. We enjoyed tasty homely meals prepared by the local cooks who not only are good at their work but also are simple people with great hearts. With the experience shared, we really look forward to visiting this cute Cottage once again. We wish the host a very best of luck.

The caretaker was very helpful
The location was great, easy to reach and mountains view can be seen from the room. The property was not clean, security was ok and had no issues with the facilities. The room and the food were good, I can suggest others.

Awesome experience
This was our first experience with a Cottage booking. The small off-roading experience to reach the site is superb. This is best place if you want to escape from noisy City traffic and be close to nature for couple of days. Hospitality and food felt like home being away from home. Rather this is better place to spend time than booking a stay at over crowded Shimla. Thank you to Cottage owner family members, Aditya and Kanishk. My 2 yr old daughter was in love with Mozo pet dog. Will surely visit again and will strongly recommend others. Nice wood infrastructure.
