I spent two days at this property as part of my honeymoon trip. We were looking for a quiet place, out of city with minimal interference. We got exactly that, and to be honest, more than that. Great food, great service. The hotel staff understood the assignment, and kept minimal interference throughout the stay. We had lit the bonfire for the night at a private place, where we could enjoy the stars as well. Much recommended to book your stay at this hotel. Try the food, play badminton on the mountains, and have a bonfire (private or group) to conclude your stay.

The moment we arrived in Shimla, the hotel’s manager **Mr. Vikas** made sure our journey was smooth by connecting us with their transport assistant, **Mr. Arun Kumar**, who kindly arranged a comfortable pick-up from the bus stand. His friendly nature and helpful attitude set the tone for our entire experience. Upon reaching the property, we were greeted warmly by **Ms. Isha**, whose hospitality immediately made us feel at home. She guided us to our beautiful room, which was cozy, clean, and offered stunning views. The food at Woodvista Cottages truly deserves a special mention — every meal was delicious and freshly prepared. We were especially impressed by **Mr. Pankaj**, who went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect. His professionalism and courteous service stood out, and we really appreciated how promptly he helped us with in-room dining. We loved our stay so much that we decided to **upgrade to the Cedar Cottage**, which was even more spacious and luxurious — a perfect choice for a relaxing mountain getaway. I stayed at this property for 2 days and had a brilliant and memorable experience. The staff was very helpful, Ms. Isha and Mr. Pankaj were always available for any kind of help or support. Mr. Vinay, the Chef, deserves a special mention as the food was very delicious. The property itself was quite beautiful and serene. Wooden cottages were spacious, clean and gave beautiful view of the valley. We trekked all over the nearby area by ourself and it's truly a gem. Though we had to drive cautiously on the unmetalled track for around 2 kms to get to the location but it was worth it. Loved our stay.

I stayed at Wood Vista, Theog, and overall, it was a really good experience. The staff was very polite and helpful, and the food was absolutely delicious — definitely worth the wait, even though it took a little time to prepare. However, the road leading to the property was quite rough, and the last stretch required some careful off-road driving, which made the journey a bit challenging after a long travel day. That said, once you reach, the views and peaceful atmosphere make it worth it. A cozy stay with great food and warm hospitality! Will surely visit again.

Hotel staff was so humble and friendly. Food was awesome but too costly.. Hotel was uneasy to reach and roads were terrible... don’t try to reach after evening as horrible road conditions and difficult to reach

Wood Vista Cottages by Jomotel was exactly the peaceful escape we needed. Nestled amidst the hills, the views from our cottage were straight out of a postcard. The wooden interiors added warmth and charm it felt like a cozy mountain cabin. Waking up to views of apple orchards and pine trees felt like living in a beautiful painting, it is pure bliss sipping mornings with chai on the private balcony. The staff was courteous, always smiling, and quick to help with anything we needed. Food was homely, fresh, and comforting just what you want in the mountains. Evenings views of the starlit sky were unforgettable. It’s a perfect place to slow down, breathe deep, water over the and reconnect with nature. The approach road is a bit narrow and can be triky at times, but the view at the end makes it totally worth it.

WoodVista Cottages by Jomotel , A hidden gem in Himalaya , A small village in Cheog , Theog, Shimla. It is Approximately 250 KM from Kurukshetra, 150 KM from Chandigarh and Approx 60 KM from Shimla. Jomotel has bunch of Resorts in Himachal Pradesh, but WoodVista Cottages is their best. For Location - 5 Star , must visit their in rainy season and winter season. For Cottages - 4 Star For Food - 4 Star (Tasty but options are limited) For Services - 5 Star (Staff is very polite) from Cheog to Hotel , Approx 4-5 km , give you real experiance of OFF-ROADING. For Kids - 3 Star , Must needed, a kids section Near By Places Activity - Picnic, Trekking etc.
