Great experience with Prashanthi Hotel in Kollam. Have two restaurants one with Veg and another Non Veg option and both are Sheff Pillai Braned ones. offers pleasant stay and food option. Famous Kollam beach and Papanasham are on walkable distance.

Average Stay
Rooms are big and spacious. Newly renovated so it’s clean. However amenities are not replenished on time. We had 3 people staying in the room and there weren’t even enough toiletries etc for 2. Extra bed is not at all comfortable. Bedsheets duvet etc are torn and needs to be changed. Staff are polite but most are clueless on what and how to do things. Worst was morning buffet breakfast.

Poor Stay
I never expected to pay for a hotel stay with no amenities or facilities. We booked a double bed room for two people, but they only provided one towel, one dental kit, and other items meant for just one person. I informed the reception, but they didn’t care at all. Avoid booking this hotel for your regular guests.

Excellent Stay
Property location is good. Room is nice. Bed is comfortable. TV,Bathroom is good. But no chairs for sitting. Beach is walkable distance. Morning breakfast (complimentary) nice. Services good.

A Perfect Blend of Nostalgia and Comfort
Have been visiting Prasanthi since childhood for their iconic masala dosa, and it still tastes just as amazing! Recently stayed here after the renovation, the rooms are clean, the washrooms spotless, and the service excellent. Chef Pillai’s food is a highlight, every dish was delicious. For a 3-star hotel, the quality and cleanliness felt on par with a Marriott. Truly impressed!

Prime location. A stone's throw away from the beach. Yet away from the hustle bustle of the town. Comfortable stay with all necessary amenities and vegetarian's paradise. Must try the local cuisine on the menu. Highly recommended.

Superb stay
*hotel prasanthi, kollam - a hidden gem worth discovering* i recently stayed at hotel prasanthi in kollam, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. I was initially surprised to see the google reviews below 4. 5, but i suspect these might be from before the recent renovations. This hotel truly stands out in every aspect. The staff at hotel prasanthi are incredibly friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile to ensure a comfortable stay. The quality of products used in the rooms is premium, which adds to the overall luxurious experience. One of the highlights for me was the samsung 4k tv in the room, a feature i've only seen in 5-star hotels. The ambience of the hotel is wonderfully pleasing, creating a serene and relaxing atmosphere. Having stayed at various hotels in kollam, including the beach orchid, i can confidently say that hotel prasanthi surpasses them all. My experience at beach orchid was disappointing in comparison. I have no complaints or disappointments regarding my stay at hotel prasanthi. It truly is the best hotel in kollam, and i highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch stay.

Loved our stay at prashanth
We enjoyed our stay at prasanthi. The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom too was good. Ample parking space is available, and the parking area is also kept well maintained and clean. The restaurant in the hotel is vegetarian, and it seems to attract quite a few of the locals, we saw that it was quite packed throughout the evening. The breakfast buffet was quite good, but i have to admit i was slightly disappointed that the staple vada was missing. Upon enquiry, they answered that the menu keeps rotating, and vada is not on the menu for all the days. Otherwise, the service was good and the restaurant too is quite clean and hygienic. I would definitely recommend prasanthi to anyone looking for a hotel within kollam town, and that too within walking distance from the kollam beach!

Sure, it was a great stay there, actually prasanthi is one of the best hotel in kollam in terms of comfort, hospitality and not so far from railway station. Breakfast and lunch having a lot of options and one of best in kollam. Overall nice stay.
